Thanks to all, just wondered. As I am just starting out I was not confident enough to buy the quantities that you are talking about but maybe some day once I find out if I can get the hang of it. It took me long enough to work out how to use the calculator in the mixing section but I think I've got that sussed now.Now having got a variety of concentrates I will have to look and see what the recommendations for mixing strengths are. Am hoping to get some peace and quiet on Saturday so that I can concentrate enough to have a go.

As the postie struggles up the path with my supplies as I get ready to start my adventures of mixing , a thought crossed my mind. I know there will be a deal of gratification and pleasure if I get it right and am able to produce liquids that will be tailored to my taste, but as I look at the bottles, liquids, concentrates etc. etc. mounting up I wondered if I am actually going to save any money. Oh I know I will save money from when I used to smoke stinkies if I can stop buying shinies ;-|but how does mixing your own compare with ready made. I know there are a lot of variables such as what strength nicotine you use, how expensive your concentrate is, how much you use and how many you use in a mix but I wondered if someone cleverer than me had looked at it and estimated a ball park figure of costs. Its not really going to make a difference as I'm going to have a go anyway but I just wondered? ???

Don't know if this should be in here or mixing? I'm probably jumping the gun but my mixing kit has started arriving and I was wondering what is the easiest thing to use to test my concoctions. Don't want to fill a tank then find out its (puke)tip it out then work out how to doctor it?

misst Glad the visit went well for you and you're still coming on Saturday. gill2009 Phone me if you get lost. kal-el1875 I've got a dripper but I'm not too good with it either. I'm really looking forward to this get-together. taz96...how will we know if any of us are already there? I'm easy, because of my avatar ( & the pink hair ) I would hate wandering around asking stoopid questions Will they not be the ones sitting in a cloud of vape?

Can I ask if there are any rules or best ways for storing the liquids used for mixing? I've seen posts about freezing the nic base but does this just apply if you are ordering huge amounts? I'm also wondering about flavourings, home made, and ready made juices? I know I'm maybe jumping the gun here as my stuff has not actually arrived yet but just thought I'd ask. I know certain juices need to sit for a while but is there any use by date? No doubt I'll have a lot more questions so please bear with me.

I have been reading with interest a lot of the posts about mixing so thought why not? So I went to The Alchemists Cupboard and got a starter kit with everything in it. bth_wink-8Job Done.
You would think that would be it but no, no, I had another look through the posts and someone said what a good deal at UK Flavours with their sample box so went into their site and got an order for liquids that I thought would improve ready mades that I already have, so that should be it, no? NO then was reading a post about absinthe and blackcurrant and how easy it was and how quick it was to get ready so had to have a look for it and found Chefs Vapour. Oh look they've got Red Astaire and everyone's been talking about this and how good it is so your just as well adding it to the order as well.
Where does it end? The postie's not going to be able to carry all this I don't really have a place to put it all and I've never made up a batch of eliquid in my life so what if I cannot do it?
Then I read a post about how your better with an atomiser so that you can sample some of your mix to see if it's ready? Not even got a clue what all that's about.
Someone please tell me when it stops or am I speaking to people who are worse than me and there is just no hope for us all?
Oh apologies to all the vendors that I've no been to yet I've no doubt your turn will come

Seen as no question is a daft one: what is steeping?? ??? I am as new as you sammie80 but I've read that syeeping is leaving your juices time to develop Seemingly some of them especially custardy ones need the time but fruit ones not so long. I hope I got this right

Another light Absinthe based eliquid recipe. Mixed at 11mg, 60/40 PG/VG and steeped for at least 1 week. 10% Absinthe (DV) 5% Vodka (Health Cabin) 7% Energy Drink (TPA) 1.5% Blackcurrant (Inawera) 0.5% Ethyl Maltol Am I being stupid or does your recipe flavouring come to 24% of your mix not counting the nicotine? I'm a complete beginner but I've been reading other posts and they seem to talk about 4% and 5% flavouring, can someone set me on the right road

See this is what worries me I'm going to end up with a cupboard full of bottles and ingredients before I've even started . I have looked several times at red Astaire and also other concentrates from TJ but I cannot get them all, well not the first week any way LOL
