thebishman , If you have never had a dog, you need some facts. There is only one way to be able to "own" a dog. That is to be it's master. Dogs are pack animals. They need to know where they are in the *pecking order*. That means that it (he/she) needs to bottom of the list, especially with Bull breeds. If they think they are getting the upper hand, they can be very vicious. ALL dogs crave to be "TOP DOG". It's where the phrase comes from. You don't have to be cruel or nasty, just be the boss. And make sure all of you family do the same. My advice would be to go to dog training (human training) exercises. Sorry if I sound condescending, but I have had dogs, and the are all different.
