Just wondering if this is just a normal attack or is it gingivitis something anyone else has had.
Past 10 days gums have been flaring up and sore, usually using rising with salt water and Cordsyl sorts it out, but its getting worse and tonight I cannot even bare to touch a tooth as it hurts so badly - its not my teeth themselves just the gums.
Never had it so bad. Could it be an allergic reaction to PG - seen it mentioned on here, but not the symptoms, a clearing out of gums from not smoking or just a co-incidence that having a flare Gingivitis, part of gum is actually quite swollen but funnily it is one place that is not hurting.
Got to look at the silver lining, I cannot eat anything that involves chewing so might actually lose some weight.

Thanks if I can at least vape at the airport I will survive on the flight - I was lucky that if I was somewhere I couldn't smoke it didn't bother me much, it was just as the time neared an end then the craving would start to build up. As you say can always go and have a sneak vape in the bathroom If I use the Vanilla Tabac all that would be left is its smell so people would think how disgusting eating sweets while on the toilet lol

Hubby hated the smell of my cigarettes, it did make him cough if he came in my room, ( but he never tried to spot me bless him and in case anyone wonders in separate rooms now due to me waking him up to often when pain was bad and he needs his sleep as he has to go to work) but since stopping he says he is enjoying the cleanest of the air and in fact since been vaping the Vanilla Tabac is sniffing away as he loves the smell.

Well first battery just died, very impressed with how it lasted. I don't want to hijack justjj thread so will mention about our stop smoking help here. I am lucky as where I live our stop smoking help is from the Roy Castle Lung Foundation - a charity - not the HNS. Their view is anything at all the stops you smoking that is less dangerous is good. They are willing to look at other things apart from those approved by drug companies. I know someone who used to smoke 40 a day and is now still smoking 20 and been going to them for 2 years and she told me they have never once put pressure on her to quit completely. They have backed her every step of the way even if she has just gone down by one a day. Unfortunately with less money around they only give you full time support now for 6 months but you can go back after 6 weeks and restart your 6 months and meanwhile if you are using any of the nicotine replacement they write to your doctor so they will give you it instead. Girl I spoke to says she hopes that one day they can at least offer cartridges ( can't see them ever offering the e-liquid as I think would be classed as to dangerous) to those using e-cigs. Although when I told her the price of the starter kits she was impressed and said that wasn't to bad. Obviously if you pay per item on prescription you would have to see if it was worth it ( I have a prepay as basic medication makes it worth it so would be worth it for me)The even gave me some inhalator's as back up. They are phoning me every fortnight just now, but I can call them any time and meeting are dotted around the city every day if I feel I need physical support. I don't know if as time goes by I will come across someone working for them who is not so knowledgeable but so far they all seem to know about e-cigs and approve. Maybe some suppliers should consider getting in touch with them.

Does anyone know how airlines feel about e-cigs?
Longest journey including from going to boarding gate to when I arrived and got out of airport has been 7hrs and I admit was dying for a cigarette then ( before I found e-cigs). I might, be going for a slightly longer journey
later this year and wondering has anyone found any airlines letting you use them just now. I will be flying to Melbourne in two years and hoping by then things will have improved, as I know Australia is not e-cig friendly, but will cross that bridge when it comes, wondering about now.
Thanks

I totally agree ask away, they are the best bunch on the 'net' I think, always so helpful and patience - if they can put up with my endless questions they must be.
So if you are considering using e-cigs, already started but not finding them to your liking or anything else please don't just lurk and read others threads, Ask, start your own and you will soon have all the answers you need to move into vaping. No one is going to bite your head off or tell you off because you are still using real cigarettes, everyone here understands what you are going through. You are not alone, here you have people by your side every step of the way. They understand that for some its easy to move onto e-cigs and for others it takes a bit of time or even a long time.
So please do jump in and say Hi and ask??????

Today has been much better- am actually just holding button and letting vapour build up in mouth, no sucking at all, holding in mouth for a few seconds then either swallowing or blowing out. At home I don't mind blowing out, but outside I will most likely swallow so as not to bring to much attention to myself with the vapour. Still have odd moments when I forget and treat the Riva like an analogue but less and less. Its just relearning and with each mouthful of vapour stepping more and more away from smoking. Having the drip tip on has made the difference I must admit, as doesn't feel like an analogue where as the cartomisor did ( it didn't bother me having it in my mouth and I never found it got to hot to be uncomfortable). So got get some more vanilla tabac as it most definitely is my favourite although did I read somewhere people get their flavours tailored to them, as I wouldn't mind a bit more of a vanilla flavour in it, but then again tastebuds might continue to improve. Also I will invest in more drip tips, not looked at them yet. Do all sites say if they are suitable for 501s or can I just buy any? Still cannot get over the battery power of the Riva as am still using first battery, that is over 48 hrs now. Also found the weight is fine, yes heavier than my gamucci but not so heavy or big to bother my hands even with the pain when it comes, so am very, very pleased about that. It was my concern that due to pain I might find I have to go back to gamucci or horror analogues, ok not had a bad flare but the longer it stays away the more and more used I will be with Riva and not want to go back. I had wanted black but Jason didn't have one, but now got to admit I really like the gold with the black cartomisor on it. I have also found I prefer to use it without the gold cone cover on it, can't explain I just seem to get a better hit without it on, but if I use it outside I will put it on as it does make it look nicer hiding the threads. Thankfully life has been( dare I say it) running fairly smoothly at the moment, no big stress around, nothing anyway more than normal so it will be a test when that happens to see if I feel I want to go back to analogues then. The fact that I picked up the e-cig and went straight onto it I hope would stop me, as the transition was easy this time, I cannot see it being so a second time if I slip, so I must keep that in mind to try and stop any slipping. Mmmm tomorrow must get hubby to go and put some money on credit card as I am almost out of the Vanilla Tabac as using it all the time just now, it really is on par with my gamucci regular, yet of course tastes different but its satifying me but it it 20mg where as all my others are 18mg so that could be the reason. I don't want to order 24mg as that would increase my nicotine levels and I want to eventually come off nicotine. Must look and see if any other flavours are 20mg. Just checked my e-liquids and I see the cherrypipe is 20mg as well, both are Grizwalds So one very happy vapour here

You are doing brilliant, so you haven't stopped smoking so what, you are trying aren't you and that is what counts. So you may take awhile, it doesn't matter. As to the e-cig juices containing carcinogenic can you get your sister to show you the info on this as where I live we have one of the worlds most famous lung cancer centres and my smoking Cessation Officers come from there and they have told me they are 100% behind anyone using an e-cig to stop smoking. I spoke to one on Thursday and she said it doesn't matter what the route you are getting there, and if your e-cig is keeping you happy continue with it, we cannot officially say to people get one to use as a stop smoking aid but we are quite happy to back you if you choose this. She also told me they are trying to get e-cigs approved as the know they cost is stopping a lot of people trying them and they feel even if they cannot supply the e-cigarette but just cartridges for them, it would get a lot more people off the cigarettes. If they were so bad would they be doing that - they are giving me the full service to help me stay on the e-cigs - meeting once a week, they call me once a week and I can call them daily if I want to. This centre by the way is where all the stop smoking stuff came from they started it all up in the first place, so if they are happy with e-cigs then your sister should be, and I am hoping the government will be. Now back to you, you are not a failure far, far from it. You have had a lot going on in your life and so you reach for what is comforting and usual totally normal. Maybe just daily pick up you e-cig and try it instead of even just one cigarette, no more and don't even think but this is my first step to stopping them, just replace one and stick at that for weeks. Just the fact you tried and what to your eyes failed is a big, big plus, you are trying as someone said its not stopping its changing your brand, what a great way to put it. You are slowly changing from the cigarettes carcinogenic to the much healthy brand of e-cigs. You are not a failure just remember that. Sending you lots and lots of hugs

Your right Chrissie, althought its not the actual Gamucci, its I just had continued using it the way I used a cigarette so have now added the drip tip to the Riva and finding it easier to actually vape properly as it feels different in my mouth so reminds me and yes can feel the hit nicely now after holding the vapor in my mouth for a few seconds and not to much vapor escaping

I know I am a total beginner but I in my humble opinion do feel if you have the right e-liquid you will find it just as good as a real cigarette, I know I was very lucky, the reg flavour that was in my gamucci cartomisors to me tasted and felt ( throat hit) just the same as my usual ones and so instead of doing what I was planning - which was like you Kristy- to cut down at least one a week ( I had managed to go from 20 to 18 a day over past 6 months - I used to put them into a empty pack and when there was 18 in it use that then start again) but instead first day I used my e-cig it was just right and so smoked the last two cigarettes I had the next morning and never ( so far) looked back. I honestly do believe though if I had not got the right flavour straight away I would not have managed this ( I did buy and try a disposible and it was no wear near as good, I certainly wouldn't have given up so easily on them). Only down side of the Gamucci was the cartomisors are so expensive but I didn't mind as I at least was not using real ones.
All I can do is wish you luck and try and buy some of the sample sizes and maybe try the higher stength (24mg) to see if that satisfies you more.
Good Luck

Next week I am joining the Womans Institute, been to one meeting and enjoyed it - nice mix of woman from 18 - 102 and I intend to take both my Gamucci and Riva and see what they say., should be interesting if nothing else. I will not just sit there and vape, I will put it on the table in front of me and wait to see if anyone asks what it is. I know a few of the woman smoke as after the meeting as soon as they were outside in the carpark they light up. I am deliberately taking both as the Riva can be a bit of a culture shock when you are a smoker, and more likely to put people off trying it.
Have been trying the Vanilla Tabac from Grizwald, just bought sample size and have to say its perfect, definitely will be ordering bigger bottle. It makes a perfect vape for after dinner as I always liked my cigarette then, so want something with a good strong flavour and throat hit and this satifys this the best out of the e-liquids I have bought so far, even my beloved Cherry Brandy ( that also was a sample so will be ordering bigger one). So that makes 3 flavours I really like, other is Gold and Silver from Safercigs. At moment its strong flavours I am finding best, but no doubt as you say Perpetua my taste buds will start to work again properly and in time delicate flavours will taste better.
Thanks everyone with your patience with my questions and ramblings

Just want to say thank you to the supplies I bought from this week, none of my orders were big ( apart from Jasons with the Riva and then only spent £41 others around £11 and each one has sent out the order straight away and no delays, no putting my order to one side while they dealt with bigger orders. Great service, can't ask for anything better. I have order from Safercigs, Vapeescape and Freedom Vape. Liberty flight have only sent in an order for a mere £2.54 but hoping he doesn't feel insulted by such a small order today - next week ah that will be a different story

At moment I have spent more than I would have done on analogues, but that is because I bought the two e-cigs within such a short time and the cartridges for the gamucci cost as much as a half a pack of analogues and I bought enough of them to do me around a month. So will be when I reach a month when I start to be saving, even though I will buy more cartomisors next week and most likely some more e-liquids, but so long as I do not buy any more big things like the e-cigs themselves and as I love the Riva I have no plans to do that. I had expected going by price of gamucci cartridges and how I was using two a day ( not the 1 1/2 which they say is the same as one pack) that it would take me quite a few months before I started saving, so am hoping from March to each week start putting the money I would have spent on analogues into the Australia fund ( sons wedding in Melbourne in 2 years) . I was spending £37.37 a week so even with buying more e-liquids and cartomisors I should have the fares saved by this time next year which then gives me another year to save for spending - as we have never been we hope to stay over there for 4 -6 weeks and tour round, as unlikely to get there again. I just have to strong and not by any more e-cigs, although I might buy another spare battery for the Riva. So I have the best reasons with both health and getting to the wedding to keep me on the straight and narrow ( this from a gal who has never been a saver in her life)
