My trusty digital calipers say 16.3mm outside diameter 12.75mm inside diameter for the Velocity ( you can get the tip of a standard 10/30ml juice bottle into it) and 12mm o/d and 9mm I/d for the Mutation.

Depends on whether you only use it for tasting or you start to get experimental with your coils Velocity Mini rather than the full size rda, dead simple to build on, loads of room to play, single central coil, horizontal or vertical, dual, all easy to do. Plenty of room to drip and a big well. Personally I find the big bore tip too much and the 510 too narrow. Mutation X4, just put a single 0.58ohm parallel build in mine, not the biggest deck or easiest well to drip into with dual coils but probably the best airflow and a medium tip more suited to flavour. Bottom airflow holes are a guaranteed leak but it just seems that there isn't a single dripper with all the best features. Derringer sized rda for flavour tasting.... single 1 ohm 2mm micro coil, use a small wick and once wet a few extra drops will give intense flavour for ages on low watts. Mind you the juice will never taste as good in a tank

taking them apart isn't an issue, a hammer (light adjusting type)and a steel dowel to knock the bottom out, however refitting without damaging the coil....

I've had mine for a whole three days and the only problem regarding resistance detection has been with a dual Ni200 coiled dripper, my Sigelei and D2 both read it at 0.086-0.089, the Evic says that its 0.09 but simply by tapping the fire button to lock the resistance it goes up to 0.1. I take it off reset the resistance put it back on 0.9...then it locks agin at 0.1, no new coil/same coil request. A 0.09 subtank rba build is bang on and the evic will ask new/same coil if its warm. I assume its not liking the rda so I bunged it (the rda) in the fridge for a few minutes and reset it at 0.9

Thanks but I'm afraid that they are not the ones with the removable top spot section otherwise I would have rebuilt them several times by now.

I suppose I should have reported my findings but I assumed it was my tank or mod to be honest.
I used the blue Ni200s in a subtank nano and a mini, the first two coils that I used read 0.17 and 0.18 which all things considered could be within specs, I used them with an istick 40tc so there wasn't any VW option and flavour had to be chased up and down by adjusting the temperature. But in my opinion just as muted as regular OCC.
So after finding out that they weren't 0.15 I used them anyway, generally without conviction on nights out because the battery and tank were cheap enough to carry around whilst on the lash.
Basicly I burnt one PDQ, reset the other whilst warm, lost patience and put the RBA back in with kanthal, the third coil I tried read 0.22 as did the fourth and fifth. The threads were crap on he last three and for some reason they wouldn't fit in the nano without applying loads of torque to tighten up the tank. Biggest waste of £6 so far.
Of the 0.2ohm red base coils which are not TC, four sit in the packet still and the one I tried would have been alright if it hadn't needed a fiery 60w to get it playing ball, no bells or whistles, flavour, clouds, then just what i would call typical OCC fade and gunk. And sadly not the two piece rebuildables.

£75 for a DNA200 mod? Has has the release of the evolve chip finally blown the TC market out of the water?
Anyway payday very soon, prices keep changing and I'm up for ordering next months new toy before my offer runs out. Is it a bargain even if its only for the chip?

I use muji because they are convenient and consistent, I used some unbranded cotton balls that were in the bathroom whilst it was in the post and the only problem was me being unable to make a pair of identical wicks.
