calnorth - just had a look, that sea temp is certainly warm enough to do some damage. Looks like we have a respite in wind for the next couple of hours, then more rain this evening. Loads of flooding in the Cornish lanes - the dry stone hedges are so solid that there's nowhere for the rain to go, and Portreath on the North Coast is in a serious way (see post above). Thank goodness that RangersBillyBoy and I both live a good 150m above sea level! Closest i got that stuff was on the Somerset Levels wayback (60s). Thats when nobody noticed me floating my Beetle across long dips in the road where the water table had risen. And I noticed the full force of it around Andover a few years back (A303). I too am at height now...thankfully. Bloody boiler is dripping at IN pipe...in sympathy I think?

Click Overlay Box for other parameters? www.windyty.com/?2016-02-08-12,52.103,2.597,1 Don't know quite where they model from. However, on the Temp/Sea Temp selection you can see the warmth of the sea and air at S. Atlantic. So there's a fair bit of warm-ish water coming up. Try again..without my lat/long www.windyty.com

Better & Reporting? Can we use those words as regards the BBC...that quality thing?
That chap is pretty fair on most things..till he starts dosing himself with dangerous stuff.

I took the 1st step yesterday which was to use a single pre coiled element (coil) that came with a new Kanger mini tank. It came with a small cotton pad. I followed a US youtube vid that illustrated the process using that tank...not vid as above. The wire coil was already mounted on the tank coil platform. Checked tightness..ok Looked at coil and coils were well spaced. Nothing touching...good. Cut strip of cotton (get new scissors!) The wicking was my little problem, but after 3 goes it looked the same as shown in the vid. Rolling the springy cotton and pushing it thru the coil was a bother. Peeling the outer edge off the cotton wad had me wondering if the cotton remaining was of sufficient consistency. Ach well! Added drops of juice to cotton. Tested on ohmeter that I got from Arcturion...about 0.6 ohms. Filled tank and assembled. Test fired it (not in mouth) with very short bursts on an istick 30W at about 7 Watts. Looked good with 0.6 ohms indicated. Gave it a longer burst..popping and cracking. Am on 2nd tank full of juice now. The pop is fairly forceful and likely amplified up the funnel. Also the juice is cooking in a modulated manner..pulsing. I detect a lack of skill on my part really. I have inadvertently gone wicking sub ohm here so will use one of the 1.2 ohm pre coils to see if this thing calms down a bit. Did not check for even glow when coil exposed...idiot! Currently firing iStick at 8.5W and reduced popping a bit. Same effect as kettling in boilers/kettles. Not a big issue...just noisy. I've been in electronics all my life and have gained banana fingers over time I note. Need replacement eyeballs and large expanses of brain. Ears are morphing towards sattelite dish dimensions?

Hey I forgot to say my bungalow was a new build My mum and dad have just purchased a bungalow,as my father has problem with stairs now,2 bedrooms, reasonable size £405000 they looked lasts year and they were £350000. Kids really have no chance in this country now. As for the government all you hear is that parents must help there kids,so lets see as parents we need help with house deposit for our kids we need to help with university fee we need to save for the future,do the government realise that not everyone earns 100k a year. Case in point. I got a young Brit electrician in for a consumer box change (S.E London). In conversation he said he wanted to upgrade (2 to 3/4 beds)....kids thing. He said he really can't because as soon as he spots a property near right price its upped in price or gone within the short time he gets to arrange himself. Don't think thats going to stop with the invites going out. Thats apart from high loading on all services!

It's crazy the pricing now Absolutely ridiculous Crazy is too gentle a word. My mother died 3 years back in S.E London. Her flat jumped £100k in 12 months from the date she died. Lucky I was sole beneficiary. Fortunately I could stick my son in it. The cost to any quality (perceived) of life is the BTL's around there and contents thereof....mainly thanks to Greenwich council and physco governments. Yes..its near beheading territory and as ex military I am seriously very mad about that.

RM carry mail up/own the country by aircraft and I think that would be in lightweight metal containers? They've asked me at a PO and I said yes and the battery is installed backwards in a mobile phone. Off it went.
I don't think they have much of a clue whats in post...until it goes bang or something?

I have... I think. Bought some action camera mounts for a car on eBay. On arrival in slow mode the mounts came with Bangood flyers and I get email every day about offers.
I've used about 6 HK suppliers off ebay over the last year...no problem and if there is eBay will swiftly deal with them. ebay is generally - seller...you are always wrong. Money is back PDQ.

Apols if this topic has been covered before. Anybody aware of what happens to batteries once we deliver any battery to the council tip, supermarket etc? It bothers me because within the environmental blether no real detail shows. Does the BBC or dismal media go there? Seen the India beaches stuff for ships and electronics...spent batteries?
I once found a huge pile of US car parts in the S. Arabian desert along with blown Coca Cola cans. My truck at the time was Chevrolet...those car parts were not applicable. Shame I thought.
