Extremely off topic....aarghh....our flat

We live "above the shop" as it were. A few weeks ago, we found water running down the walls and from the ceiling. Previous builders (years ago, before we were here) had made a shoddy job and left a gap in the lead flashing....new builders are making good. This is what the flat looks like now. I have lounge furniture in the office/dining room. I have cushions, DVD's, book cases etc., in the spare room, and the cats are in hiding.

I'm chain vaping!

Yes, the builders are very OK! The one with the long hair and beard, especially. It's a pity the one with the grey hair and maroon top is my OH!

Well, Kath, the biggest shock for me was how tidy your desk is!! one day I shall take a photo of mine!

I love the way all the action shots are of them standing around, hands on hips, just looking.

But Jaki, that is not my desk - it's Alex's and a pity you can't see the right hand side of it behind my chair on the right. It's a mess! Full of screws, washers, man bits etc. Mine is the desk on the right, will take more pics later, but it IS very tidy. Alex has an iMac, I have a PC.

Ordering Inidian take away for tonight, but goodness knows where we will eat it! No tables in sight! Dish out in the kitchen, move our keyboards and eat on our desks, I guess.

And I most definitely have to find the TV, for Corrie tonight, just hoping the cables are long enough to reach into the office/dining room somewhere as the lounge is out of bounds and has de-humidifiers running.

It's our day off tomorrow (work six days a week in peak season) so will be going out while they get on with it. I don't think it will take that long, they are hard working lads and we have used them before for other building work on the park.

More pics - of our desks, mine is the one with two monitors...but I notice he has a piece of paper migrating onto mine, that will have to be moved! Managed to tidy a little in the dining/office and get the TV rigged up (Judge Judy was trialling the man), so that's Corrie sorted! I even got the dinner table sorted. KIng prawn korma on it's way for me!

Kath - only just catching up here. You poor thing. I can't stand chaos of redecorating etc. but it is so much worse when you are forced into chaos by matters outside of your control. Hope it gets cleared quickly. ((((Kath)))) xxx
