Jerry, you are going to have your work cut out as we are all from different parts of the UK & some words & phrases are indigenous to particular areas/regions.

Hi Jerry - me ansum, all-rite are ee? I shall leave you to figure that one! Chrissie can translate if need be; we are in close proximity in SW UK. I actually had Rhode Island on a map last night - as I was tracking a flight heading to New York. I discovered a wonderful American site called Flightstats, where you can view the flight information as passengers see it on the planes. My son is there for a week, complete with a Christmas shopping list - mine! Am very envious - as New York always looks so well decorated for Christmas. I am just apporaching my 6-month anniversary as a vaper, and have been so assisted by this forum. Appreciated reading your news, albeit am not happy at the thought of them finding a way to tax vapers. So fingers crossed for that not happening.

Lol Jerry! A squizz is what I call a swift, look see or reconnoiter of any posts that I may have not seen or read. Basically, I'm well nosy. Thank you Perpetua and Chrissie, that's what we call a "quick peek". It goes both ways. Yesterday a UK member wanted to know what we Yanks we talking about, when we mentioned "Tapioca Pudding".

Thank you, Hanow, I think. lol. I will need a translation, *fair dinkum, mate !!! I am located in the northeast corner of Rhode Island, New York is about 200 miles to the southwest of me. They really do Christmas quite well in Rockefeller Plaza in New York. I hope your son enjoys his visit here. A few years ago, my youngest niece visited England and Scotland. She liked it so much there, that she even considered immigrating to the UK. *it means it's true, really true, I leaned that from an Australian friend.

In my dim & distant schooldays we used to call Tapioca pudding Frog's Spawn Jerry. Chocolate Semolina was my favourite school pudding, wonder if it would work as an ejuice flavour!

Hanow, I can translate that but that's about as far as it goes with the Cornish Lingo - well apart from learning very quickly what dreckly meant I'm a Tyke lass originally, so aye flower & eeh by gum, I'm therefore not that fluent in summat like the Cornish lingo

Frog spawn would be a pretty fair assessment of it's texture, Perpetua. But it's very tasty !!! I have had all kinds of chocolate, since I love chocolate. Never had Chocolate Semolina, though.

His rolling of the letter "R" was something, especially since here in New England, we don't pronounce that letter, often. Example: "I pawked my cah in the yawd". (I parked my car in the yard). We immediately know who is an outsider, when they don't pronounce Worcester as Woostah. lol.
