Viva Nova Re-coil?

Ladies, Gents,
Anyone re-coiled a head for the viva nova?
If so have you any tips.
Got my wire & wick from www.stealthvapes.com & all ready to proceed.

Mine is the stv from www.vapeescape.co.uk but i understand they all use the same head.

vision one's do yes, but as i understand vision are starting anouther range with a dif head if this is true or not im not sure.

I have 2 mini nova's, don't use them, but the heads are different and don't work on the other.

I've only done a couple, so no expert, but:

Some people lay a thin needle (or something) alongside the wick before coiling, then pull it out once coiled (which is what I did) saves coiling it too tight.

It may taste bad when you first vape it, particularly if you've handled the wick a lot. Some people heat it over a flame before final assembly which they say prevents that. Still haven't tried it myself (I'm still getting through the original heads)

I don't know and don't particularly care to be honest. They came from 2 reputable UK vendors.

Hi All,
Manged to re-coil my nova with 0.2 wire today but it keeps cutting out, could it be shorting on the head casing?
Tried to keep the coils as close together but it's not easy with my eyes

I have done a fair few Viva's but am no expert on them but it does sound like something is touching somewhere if it cuts out often.

Try to start over again and see if it happens again or leave this for the experts to answer

My heads all have an extra little sleeve that slides over the wick to prevent the coil touching the sides. Its a bit fiddly to get in the hole, ooer, but does the trick.

Does sound like its shorting out to me.

Try a 0.16mm wire maybe Denis, you won't need to fit so many wraps in to achieve a decent resistance.
