So hopefully none of this legislation comes in to place, but if it did, what would it mean for us? ........ We'd all have 1 drawer less in our freezer for food.
It'll be full of 'illegal' glass bottles!

I can see it now, bring in prison and being asked "what you in for?" and me replying "got caught with 30ml of Lemon Meringue 18mg with intent to supply" I think that "medicinal products" will be available - foul-tasting ecigs. We'll also be able to buy batteries, mods, PG/VG and flavourings but not nic. So there'll be two types of vaper - unhappy ecig users, and happy but illegal users of decent stuff, operating on nic that was smuggled or bought before the ban. Hopefully we'll also be able to rinse out the "medicinal" ecigs and replace the juice with something decent, because that is the only way that we will be able to vape in public. I reckon the chances of this happening are about 50/50. "Insufficient evidence" won't stop them Bluefish, nor will lack of insight or reason robby, or you'd be able to buy snus outside Sweden. But by the time this is due to come into force there will be a hell of a lot of us and a lot more evidence on our side, so if we fight hard I think we have a good chance of winning.

I don't think it's gonna happen, it'l get kicked out of court, insufficient evidence. What'll get kicked out of court? The 4mg limit, or MarkS's 'intent to supply'? The classified as a medical product, sama as in abu wasisname, the law over rules government desires.

You can buy SNUS here from Sweden, just not import it to sell. Same as Nicotine in Austrailia. Import it for yourself, just not sell it.

Will it happen soon? I know nothing about mixing but would be looking to get a few litres closer to the time.. And does it cost alot?! X

Surely this is European Law that we are discussing? We need to stop this new perpostuous law ever seeing the light of day, by fighting it now.

So much of the problem stems from the lookalike type crap sticks that most people start with. If that was all you knew about then I can understand the no great loss point of view. They are ridiculously expensive, taste bad, try to impersonate the very things we are trying to escape. Non smokers see them as someone trying to cheat the rules. Pubs ban us all because they don't think they can tell the difference. They just cause total confusion between vaping and smoking. I would be delighted if they alone could be banned, they bring the whole activity into disrepute!
And as for banning mixing - just no possible, you might as well try and ban home brewing, or making a cup of coffee for that matter.

I can see (in the long run) you only being able to get nicotine liquid from "approved" sources, Tax will be applied, probably making vaping as expensive as stinkies. Look at cigarettes, you used to be able to buy them from Spain via the internet, that all got stopped, legislation was rushed through. I am sure the Government will want the tax revenue back that they are losing or potentially going to lose.

Giles, you just said we wont be able to stop them, but we have a good chance of winning? Make your mind up. I didn't say we won't be able to stop them Bluefish I said they won't be stopped by reason or insight or insufficient evidence I think they can be stopped if we fight them. Enough people shouting, causing life difficult for civil servants and costing too many votes to politicians could do it. But if we sit back and say "too silly, won't happen" and do nothing, then sure, the legislation will get passed.

I heard this exact idea being discussed somewhere "else" i.e. not a vaping forum. Herein lies a big worry though, as from what I can gather, if one cig-a-like equals 40 fags (according to the big brands), then the government could, and most probably would ask for the same tax = £10.40 (£5.20 per 20)
