Yes, James is right that the Tornegoriva style are not mods. Never mind They're just progressions scylla

I would say mods are something that has been modified into a e-cig and not manufactured as one. Not easy trying to get cheap stuff out to folks and i know all about it with the cyclops problems and a few with the multi mod mk1. I wouldn't do it and i'm sure camperman wouldn't either if we thought there would be problems. Slightly different with me as i supply mods but camper does loads of internet searching and tries to get products first like the BW510n which you would think have been through strict testing from a company like bauway. I'm sure he'll do you all his best he can to solve the problems and it really does put you off trying to help others for such little reward....... just sayin like!!

Botom line is that most things Bauway are very cheaply made and have very little QC about them. I've yet to come across anything from Bauway that I'd put in the "top class" league.

Graham as you know, running a business is about making a profit, not 'helping others' as you put it. There are times in any business when things don't go as you want them to, it's the way in which you deal with these times that may or break most businesses. At the end of the day it's up to Camper as the seller to refund these mods and take the issue up with the manufacturer, whether he gets his refund or not is irrelevant to the people who've entrusted him with their monies.

I agree with others that a Mod is something that has been modded from something else. I was actually surprised that the BW510N is being sold as a mod.
Lzrbrandy, if you are a seller from China as you say, then you can only advertise in the suppliers section. I'm removing your email addie from your post.

Deesigner i'm not getting what camper does or does not do with his company as its his problem like you state. All i know is that as a business he is trying to supply e-cig stuff cheaper to us vapers which can't be a bad thing in my book. I'm sure he'll do the right thing but i think dealing with peoples issues through PM's would be a better way to conduct business rather than people telling him in the open forum what he should be doing.

With all due respect, Graham, Dee is correct and i might add that it's the law that dictates what should be done when something sold is not fit for the purpose it's sold for, not members of this forum.
My personal feeling, given the number of these mods failing, is that a thread on here, if it saves any newbies in particular, playing around with a faulty mod rather than removing the battery straight away, is far more desirable than someone being injured, or possibly worse, given what happened with River's mod, as well as others.

I can understand you feel disappointed, Graeme, but as I've said before, it's all very well trying to find cheap supplies for us but they have to work and they have to be safe.

I think it's unfortunate, as far as timing is concerned, that these issues have come to light now. Camper isn't here to state his case, although I'm certain that he will do what is right.
I also think that we should feel free to discuss any problems with 'mods' in the same way that we freely discuss the 'pro's and con's' of the generic products.
Slating a product doesn't necessarily equate to slating the vendor.
I guess we vapers are a demanding bunch in that we are always looking for the newest best thing.
This is surely the place for us to discuss the best and worst things about the products we buy?

Guys I'm really sorry to here about the problems your having but as you know I'm away at the moment so I will address this when I get back home. Ian as I've explained in a pm to you I offer 1 month warantee on the mods I sell and you bought your EXO 3 months ago for cost price the same as I paid for mine. I was not aware of so many problems with the BW until a few days before I came on my hols as I replaced 2 heads/buttons for customers before I set off. Bauway will be getting a stiff email from me when I get back.

The open forum is deffo the place to discuss mods good or bad but deffo not the place to tell people what or what not they should be doing. I'm all for safety and i posted on the 'other forum' regarding this very mod and its problems with batteries not fitting - its problems whilst using dual coils / lr atties and its problems with melting buttons etc. My comments or maybe complaints had the vendor in question reply and then change his website to point out some of its shortfalls. This like Lynda has pointed out is unfortunate timing but i would imagine he'll get it sorted and in the meantime i hope no real incidents come from these mods wherever the buyers purchased them from. Maybe a case of too cheap to be true ....thank fcuk the bauway sales woman refused to sell me a single unit to try...
