siffy I could weep for you with all the problems you've had. But - I have huge admiration for your courage in trying new things and your determination to get through this and carry on vaping. The short term answer may well be to buy a couple of your chosen clearos and some spare heads, then just take it out of the packet and use it. All the 'maintenance' stuff saves a few pennies but can really fray the nerves. At the end of the day you want your vaping to be a pleasant, stress-free replacement for smoking tobacco.

It must be your bad luck siffy as those pins go on and off easy peasey. I think it must be, am having my fair share of that..lol Maybe I was heavy handed and it twisted or something coming out? I don't remember being heavy handed though, but who's to say. I think a greater plan is at work here (if there is such a thing of course) but for arguments sake, say there is, it is maybe a case of...come on Siffy, you can crack this vaping lark, and once you do you are free of cigs for life. I'm hoping that is the bigger picture, it needs to be as if I get fed up of the cock ups I have no where else to go, this is the Last chance saloon for me. Have just read a different thread that has helped me enormously, have been buring my attys out, have pumped up the volume on my spinner too high. Have just read the chart and popped my 1.8 atty on a 3.40 setting and it tastes great again. Have no doubt burnt all the attys from the word go so that's why all week I have had no real taste, just a chemical taste with a note of cinder. They say you learn from your mistakes, if I carry on I will be a ruddy expert by the time I'm finished!

Thank you so much. I am finding it a challenge, I'll be honest, but I will crack on. I might for now just pay more and be stress free, as you say. I am so glad you replied to this as you personally have restored my faithl that I will crack it. I have just read your link, ajusted my volts and it now has a taste, thankbyou so very much. allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/thread/8815/eureka-volts-ohms-watts-101?page=1&scrollTo=204167Just brilliant!

I pointed someone else at OneDay sticky earlier, don't know if that's where you picked it up. It is an excellent guide to understanding how to make your 'mizers work better. Nowt worse than microwaving your juice and buggering up your atty.

There is years and years of accumulated vaping knowledge on this forum, sometimes you have to sort the wheat from the chaff, so to speak. But it is there. Never be afraid to PM someone if you have a question that you possibly don't want to post, or if there is something that you don't quite understand

can take a while siffy to find your feet with this vaping lark but if you start simple as @oneday says it will all fall into place as you go along. Pick a couple of basic attys Evods, ce4's, iclear 16's etc and get spare coils so you don't need to faff about .... just rinse out and replace the coils to begin with, then you can get a few other types later to experiment with. If it all goes pear shaped you will still have your basic atty to keep you going till you suss it out. I have just ordered a load of spare coils, bases etc for the Evods along with some other stuff from Health Cabin, if you want I will send you a couple when they come to keep you going. In fact when I think about it there is probably a lot of basic attys lying about in my vaping box Bauway ce4's etc that I will never use so could fire a couple in the post FOC to let you try them if you want

siffy Will have a root about in my vaping box later and see what I can find ... deffo have some new Bauway ce4's and Price Angel ce4's that will never get used , both were great when I started vaping but not a patch on the Evods, protanks or iClears that I prefer now Have never bothered to get into re-wicking myself as most coils are quite cheap if you bulk buy but after reading a few post on here I think it could be my next 'Big Step' as it appears once sussed it can make a good atty even better .... so the quest for the perfect vape continues

I have just improved my vaping quite by accident. Just had a quick vape, felt less airy, nI accidently had my fingers over the air holes. So I googled the question, can you cover the air holes? I laughed as it brought me back here to Romelees post allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/thread/22461/evod-tips-tricksSo have got my volt setting correct, have bluetack covering one hole, and dare I say it, very nervous incase I jinx myself, but I think I have found my sweet spot! I can taste mint, no chemical, no burnt taste and not as airy. Hallelujah! So thanks again for the very kind offer, but just wanted to tell you before youbwasted time mooching through your stuff, you, like many on here, are very kind.
