Started with a mini e-cig off TW a while back...it was useless!!!...then moved onto the super (in the sale) but the batteries were expensive, never mind the chargers... finally a while back (before I quit) got a cheap mod box off Liberty flights and cheap batteries from china and love it ...Use an accucel charger (get the battery boxes from maplin) cos I don't trust things like the trustfire (liable to over charge and go boom!!!) just to be ultra safe.. Currently diluting my 36mg liquid down to 30mg which is what I need right now as was a heavy smoker....Using TW liquid I got in ECC closing down sale last year that I just keep in the boxes all over house...Might start to put juice in fridge though....don't know... So far love love love Heaven Gifts for their carts (one 801 lasted me all pm yesterday ) cos they're cheap and good. Have enough juice for yolks....it'll just be batteries and carts I'll need... Yes it is messy (I often over fill) but like perfectly possible. I keep my e-cig equipment in a wee tupperware box on the counter (tweezers as don't have blunt needle yet, bottles and like syringes and a few other measuring devices).. Initially had bowel probs diluting with glycerine (took me half a day to find that LOL)...but now diluting part vodka part glycerin it's fine .. I have tried every NRT known to Man (including the horrid nasal spray) and everything would make my head go doolally with the withdrawals. Finally I have found something I can use without the side effects of cigs that gives me enough nicotine ... And thanks to SJ for introducing me to this forum. Have already got stuff from Health Cabin and contrary to what they say on their website their stuff came in just over 2 weeks on slow postage Joh

Can someone please change the title of this thread? E-cigs are not quit-smoking devices.

I've changed it hifi (sorry was @ kirk this am)....whilst I hear what you are saying....to me I intend to get fully off nicotine dependance even if it takes me a long while...hence I'm using the e-cig cos I get a higher dosage of nicotine with that initially.... and I can reduce per mg rather than per 10 or so mg or whatever it is with the prescribed and OTC methods....
I need a high dosage initially and to reduce very slowly as my dependance is so bad that I get psychotic on other forms of NRT..

Can someone please change the title of this thread? E-cigs are not quit-smoking devices. That's the political angle, Stud, and I know it's an important one for the sake of e-cigs' profile in the Powers That Be arena. But new members can't be expected to be aware of that and I hate to see their hopes dashed and feelings hurt the minute they get here. scylla

Vendors may NOT refer to the e-cig (or whatever else you may wish to call it) as a cessation device as a legal requirement (allegedly). However, a successful transfer from smoking to vaping renders one a smoker who has QUIT smoking tobacco. I have quit smoking in favour of vaping; nothing else on the market proved to be in the least bit helpful. In my humble opinion there was nothing wrong with this thread title as this forum is neither selling nor promoting the use of anything, we are merely an advice forum. Welcome to AllAbout Johanino, enjoy your stay. Cheers Fox

But look how long they took to ban smoking in restaurants...in reality is an e-cig ban that imminent? Also NZ have banned the e-cig but now have so many smokers (and they have lower public tolerance to smokers) they are reconsidering it.....not that the UK or even EU will learn any lessons...they are a law to themselves.... But even if it takes me a year to get nicotine free I'm more than happy to vap till then - even if I can't do it in my local Starbucks (think I will change cafe's ) Hi Johanino and well done on your achievement. 5 months for me since my last analogue cig, and in my mind I have quit. I even went a couple of full days at work this week without the e-cig when I was running very late and I actually realised that I had no cravings for the nicotine whatsoever. So welcome to this friendly forum where members are always willing to offer advice and tips on your vaping journey. Kev Thanks so much Kev...i had literally tried every other strong NRT known to woman and I can't take the anti smoking AD's...In my mind I'm just nicotine dependant now rather than cig dependant ..... Completely agrees with Scylla, Foxy & Kev, Joh, IMHO there was no need whatsoever for you to be made to feel you had to change the title of your thread *smacks Hifi with a wet fish*

A long time ago (in e-cig terms) a New Zealand scientist produced a favourable report on e-cigs (admittedly sponsored by Ruyan, a big mfr) - I think it will be all right in the end "Pollyanna thinking", no doubt. scylla

Can I ask a question...
Pre today v-aping was 5-6 501's/801's carts a day with 30mg/ml liquid but I must have only been v-aping about half of them cos a 501 would only last an hour...
Then yesterday I got an 801 to last 6 hours...now I have an 801 on since about 4pm with breaks in my v-aping and tipping it down slightly so the juice hits the atomiser (rather than being perm horizontal)..
So how much roughly e-juice was I getting yesterday? Or the day before?
Jo

Welcome Johanino
Glad to hear you are enjoying Vapeing and have successfully left behind the tobacco. Hope you enjoy your stay here.
I completely agree with Scylla, Foxy, Chrissie & Kev you shouldn't have been made to feel like you should change the thread name and I too will be hitting Hifi with a wet fish *slap*
