Great show Hifi, really enjoyable and most interesting . . . certainly showed the difficulties Supplier's are encountering to try and obtain Product Insurance.

Indeed - as I said on the Haze Hour tonight, it was very interesting to discover just how hard it is to sort out things that "normal" businesses have little problem with. Regulation will help, but we've got to be so careful what sort of regulation we get...
And many thanks! I'm enjoying VTTalk a lot, even if my bum does twitch like a bunny's nose at the start!

I agree with the census that most have made here. And you're right These concerns fall within what I believe to be ECCA's court. These are consumer issues.

I watched vttalk regarding the liability issue and i liked one of the questions cat posed to hifi from Jenny. Cigarette vendors i assume hold a licence to sell cigarettes but surely they can't be held liable for people buying / smoking them and then become ill. That would be down to the manufacturer whom the show detailed how they have and can afford the best lawers and scientists. The e-cig vendor who doesn't manufacture the products but only vends it should therefore only be required to hold a licence to sell the e-cig products but i assume one doesn't exist yet. Can a vendor be liable for selling something that is not there's and is not illegal? I guess some of the above may come in the future and all vendors can do is try their best with the childproof caps and warning stickers on juice which is a known requirement.
Myself being a modder and possibly for those who sell them may find it more difficult. My disclaimer as i tried to get across in campermans health & safety post would simply be to sell my mods as simply that. I don't sell batteries or atomisers so it is just a tube/box with a M7 x .5 thread (510) and a chamber to hold something ...lol. That something may be a battery or it can hold some m&m's and you can screw whatever you want on the top ....i know this is silly but if the liability thing gets out of order i'm sure there will be better descriptions to get around the continuing making and selling of mods.

Today i had a ego battery i was testing explode and catch fire after being on charge for 20 mins. So as far as public liability is concerened i think we do need it as this could have been a complete disaster and has worried me enough to stop saled completely. Now as for buying from china, yes i do and it took quit a while to find kit i am happy with and not had any issues with my supplier apart from a few dud batteries. If i could buy engish manufactured ego batteries etc i would but am at a loss as where to go from here. This might be just a fluke event but its one too many and i have no idea how to cover myself if i want to continue. Your thoughts
