Oh Lollipop, you do have my deepest sympathy - your bug sounds exactly the same as the one I picked up. I'm still feeling dismal three weeks later so do please stay indoors, drink loads of fluids and take some Beecham's with hot lemon and honey. That kept me going (with the odd slug of scotch to add flavour).

Lolli, it does sound like that was a problem with the proboards server.

I've been in touch with Scylla & yes she is under the weather at the moment ((((Scylla))))).

I missed the posts saying that SD "operation" had been solved - and I upped and got me camera out (it's new, not new as in "I've only just bought it" but as in "I've hardly used it and don't get on with it"...

So having gone to all that trouble you must see my pics on handling an SD - I had a lot of trouble getting used to it, I have arthritis, you can just see a little bump on my pinkie knucke.

AND - don't sneer at my curtains, I got them for almost nothing from eBay!!!

Hi Lynda Glad to hear you got it firing on all cylanders.

I also got mine in the post today 1 silver and one black - the switch is definately different and the finish inside the head has also changed - the spring is still there but has a rubber (I think )washer .
I only started using mine 5 minutes ago as I was playing with my bulldog .
Switch is very sensitive compared with the 2009 version you hardly have to touch it, would also say it is much more comfortable

One word of warning the new switch can become loose so be sure it is screwed in snug if you look inside the body you can see the screw to tighten it.

Thanks for going to all that trouble...
The problem is resolved now and I hold my SD the same way that you do.
When the switch was proving so stiff, I had to grip the SD really hard and it made using it pretty awkward.
It's excellent now tho'..
