are electronic cigarettes safe?

Good day!

I have been using ecigs for a little over 1 year now with allot of success, no lapses what so ever and i feel physically allot fitter and healthier, i really haven't experienced any negative effects when using an ecig contrary to what the press says i find it a very healthy option compared to smoking.

I'm interested to find out your honest opinions on the subject, have you found there to be any negative side effects when using ecigs ? are electronic cigarettes safe

I used to be a very heavy smoker - on average 50 a day . I've been using e-cigs for over 5 years & not had one negative side effect - just the opposite, ie. loads of positives

I can now climb up a steep hill without getting out of breath - I used to be out of breath just climbing upstairs to bed.
I no longer wake up in the night gasping for breath & no longer cough my guts up in the morning.
I used to get very bad chest infections when I smoked - I now hardly even get a cold (touch wood).
My skin & hair have improved a lot & I no longer have a black tongue.
Oh & I've saved a small (in fact not so small) fortune

Nope, after vaping for over 5 years i have found no neg side effects at all. It's all positive, including my bank balance

the only negative effect I've found is that I spend much more on vape gear than I ever did on rolling tobacco

Just the answers i was looking for!... andy01424 i'm not entirely sure what your saying there but sounds like a joke thats flown over my head...

I'm personally vaping in the UK and purely buy liquids produced in the UK as ive heard negative comments about juices produced else where e.g china as they add additional chemicals in the mix, any thoughts or experience on the matter?

Hi & samheart no negatives on vaping from me either, i enjoy vaping much more than smoking & it leaves a better taste in my mouth, its all ++++ for me

I've used Dekang and Hangsen for years, and Liqua for 18 months or so. I know from their sites how their juice is made and what's in it. So i've no worries there, it's lovely juice and it's cheap at Fasttech, Health Cabin and Vaporbreak. Plus all my converts use the same as me, they're all more than happy with it.

Considering we all smoked & were happy, even though we knew of all the chemicals/poisons we inhaled & continued with for years, then I really don't see a problem with vaping
& it's all positive with my experience so far & my lungs thank me every day. I think we've all proved that although vaping gear is not & cannot be advertised as smoking cessation products, they actually are.


I've never had a problem with Chinese e-liquid either.

I'm about 15 months in and definitely healthier.

Most of what we use is made in China. There's a lot of good stuff made in China. What I'd think twice about is buying direct from China, unless you have good reason to be confident in the supplier. UK (&US & EU) suppliers have to be careful about what they sell (wherever they get it from) in a way that Chinese suppliers don't.

Nothing really to add to the views already expressed . . . an additional and unexpected bonus for me has been all the brilliant vaping friends I've met as a result of my lovely habit. That never happened when I smoked 40/50 cigs a day.
