Foxy, I've had a few packs of the TW atties & only had problems with 3 out of this one pack. They were very weak to begin with & I thought they just needed breaking in. However, each one over a couple of days just got weaker until they just died. The other 2 from the same pack are fine.
I'm sure I've seen the measurements somewhere for the mega 510 batts. And I think I remember where. Off to see if I can find them........
...... OK according to Amy there is quite a big difference in the length of the 510 regular & Mega batteries : -
regular ones: 65mm
mega ones: 90mm

Thank you. Jaki, yes, I'm still using no-nic juice. With hindsight, I think it was a mistake to cut out nicotine so quickly. I haven't felt too well at all. Nothing I can pin down, just general lethargy and tiredness, absolutely no energy, and mild flu-like symptoms. If I ever quit smoking again, I will know better and will gradually (very gradually) reduce the nicotine dosage. But I'm just beginning to feel ever-so-slightly better now, so am going to carry on with no-nic for the time being. Oops ! Of course, on the plus side, I have lost the chesty cough that has plagued me all my adult life; I have lost the heavy cold symptoms of blocked sinuses; I can go upstairs without puffing and panting; I breathe a lot easier; and I can cuddle my grandchildren without fear of harming them or having them thinking I smell nasty.....

So many pluses, Nana It was brave/foolhardy of you to go straight to no-nic, but so beneficial in the long run. You must be completely addiction-free by now, you've just got the comforting habit and sensation. scylla

The MarkI is plus end to button, which seems only right. My GG Nano is bum first.

Thanks for the information Chrissie - curiouser and curiouser; OKS's batteries are only around 1/4" longer than the standard ones so they're not 'Mega.' I do hope George can sort something out; perhaps they were faulty after all then. He also tells me that he will be stocking larger size PCCs to accommodate his longer batteries so you can quite see why I'm confused.

Oh booo > every time I think I've got it cracked - turns out not so Just been catching up & reading this thread & realise I'm doing it incorrectly. Talking about the SDs Lilac & I have - I've been putting the battery in with the bobble (+) bit at the button end. Read somewhere the flat bit (-) should go the spring end. Reading the thread, looks like thats the wrong way round tho ??? Does it vary with different models ???

. . . . I warn you, peeps, there's a lot of thinking thru here
No it's not Scylla, it's plus (positive) end to spring (attie end). All that blurb - and this: ".. insert fresh batteries positive terminal towards the atomizer or spring...." is almost an aside more than three-quarters of the way down the article I used Firefox to highlight the word "battery" and of course it didn't come up with anything about which way in because he's used the plural Looking now at what Keef said above, if I'd been told originally to point the positive to the "top", I'd have done it the way I've done it: nipple to the button because the button is the tip so it's at the top. So that's what must have happened and I've never done it any other way. The only reason I would never have read Trog's instructions quoted by Chrissie would have been because I'd been given instructions which I considered gospel. I may have to change to the "correct" way, but I'd be more chary of dripping because the flat end seems more sealed than the nipple end. I've no justification for believing that except that it looks that way... Yes, there are tiny holes in the nipple end "Top" - I remember the same confusion with the Janty Stick, we had a little to-do about it on ECF. It never occurred to me that anyone besides Toby called the bum end the top. People must mean that when you drop in the battery with the SD vertical in your hand, the nipple is at the top looking at you. Glad I sorted that out This fiasco is a prime example of why technical writers make good money Keef - I distinctly remember reading that the MarkII takes the battery the opposite way from the MarkI. I'm wondering if misinformation has been published and subsequently retracted ??? And, lastly - I'm living proof that MarkI batteries can go in either way, yay!!! scylla

Scylla, I also think of the "top" end as the the opposite end to the attie, so it really does get confusing.
Oh & sorry but just to add a bit more confusion for you, I'm fairly certain that as your Nano has the original button end cap on it, you are also putting the battery in that the wrong way round.

Not with the screwdriver models Lolli they are all - Nipple to the top/spring - bottom to the button. That's what I shall do then (wonder if it will perform differently - I've been sucking like crazy - lol ) Thanks very much Are the spider batties Lilac & I have protected ? (doesn't say on 'em & we had no instructions) Feel if anyone's likely to blow up their vaping equipment, it'll be me!!!
