Balanced? LOL... Can't even get the diagram of a cigalike correct.. We vape oil that kills us? 15 countries have banned it, but not mentioned nearly all of them are renowned for bribery and corruption. Claim little is known about the ingredients, but not actually tell anyone what all the ingredients are. Interviewing a shop owner making spurious, outlandish claims about ecigs, yet ignore 99% of sensible vendors who wouldn't dream of it. I will think of more when I'm making coffee..... Make it a strong one Dolly, I'm just gonna do the same!

Careful guys - coffee contains caffeine which is possibly just as bad as nicotine, and handling boiling water has been proven to be a scalding risk, therefore should be banned

It was all crap apart from the interviews with the genuine ecig users. Though I have to say that the cancer research guy saying that ecigs are at least 100 times safer than regular cigarettes gives a boost to the fight to keep our ecigs!. Someone from Cancer Research giving ecigs the thumbs up, surely you can't get a more positive praise than that.
Also I'm going to take a screen capture of that ecig diagram from the show and have it printed on canvas and put on the wall in my hallway, something to laugh at and cheer me up when I come home every day lol.

Well...
The pub clip was good, the VTTV spot, and at least showing the more advanced mods (currently) available was good, but it still concentrated on the cig-a-likes, and the point that came over to me was that BigT were the only ones who would survive.
The diagram fiasco was unbelievable, and I imagine 'someone' is updating their CV as we speak.
The poor woman who lost her hubby was gratuitous, and that small clip probably did more damage than anything else on the programme. It's unfortunately going to be the 'news bite' that people will remember.
Wanted to smash the telly when the WHO representative was on... if there's not enough research, then get off your well paid ass and do some! (Wanted to say something far stronger, but couldn't afford the libel charge).
At least it ended on a positive note with the quotes from the Cancer Research guy.
Also caught Dr Hilary on Breakfast TV this morning who spoke common sense when saying, regardless of current research, ecigs were far, far safer than the analogues, and he would encourage smokers to try them if they hadn't managed with other ways, but probably some 'light' regulation was required.

I was sad to see the world health organisation come down so heavily against them, we all know the long term effects can't be judged yet, but to say they shouldn't be used seemed a bit strong. Now the nhs will probably change their advice accordingly, not good at all. I agree they should be more carefully marketed, that stupid advert did a lot of damage in my opinion.

That's why I've just poured another glass of wine, coffee is just too risky...

I wasn't chuffed, but my wife (who doesn't vape, but knows alot about it) thought it was a decent piece to give basic info to the uninformed. Some bad bits, some good bits. I think it could have been a hell of a lot worse.
Shame they couldn't give 5 minutes to Dave Dorn, it would have put our entire argument over.

The cancer research guy was one of the few positives. Totally agree Raff. I also saw Dr Hilary this morning and he was very positive and took the sensible approach.

My Dr takes Dr Hilary's stance and even recorded on my records that he knew I vaped and had stopped the stinkies for over a year! He was well proud of me and recorded it for the medical world to see! Shame all health professionals can't be the same

Oh come on guys and gals, aren't we all missing the most important point in the whole show?
That we all now have a 1 in 1.4 million chance of dying from oil in our lungs!!!! But, as the lady says, that has not been proven, so it is just a maybe yes and maybe no!
