I'm curious to know where folks vape.
So far, I've only vaped in the house & the car. I want to build the confidence up to vape in other places.

I only tried it once, outisde of Costa coffee, where I could have smoked any way! But if this is not smoking, why are they banning it? Does anyone know the rationale behind that?

I rarely go 'out' so haven't had to put vaping acceptability to the test, I did considering 'sparking' up at a Council meeting the other evening but decided the shock might have serious health implications . . . . on the many elderly Councillors there.

I generally don't use mine anywhere I wouldn't have smoked before, although considering I was a smoker for 25 years, going back to yoof, you could smoke almost anywhere.
SO, my places include:
Train Bus Cinema Café Pub Restaurant My Mum's house (outrageous!) Shopping centres Sainsbury's head office in Holborn (very stealthily - I was a guest!) Hotels
I don't tend to use it in shops and almost always introduce it in pubs/restaurants, but mostly because I don't want the scene of other customers complaining.

I was considering vaping in my local Starbucks, but the stigma of the smoking ban got the better of me & I decided against it. Silly really.

James, out of interest, has anyone ever challenged you while vaping in any of those places?

i used it at Stansted airport in the bar but was very discreet. easyjet will not allow it now, i have a confirmation email stating so, albeit they sell a vapor less version. i used it in the mall in norwich, where a large bouncer/doorman security man had run what must been 50yds to tell me i cant use a pipe in there, i told him very quickly what it was and he said "oh" thats alright then. too be honest i dont use it when in places where smoking is banned, mainly because i feel a bt of a sore thumb. raggy.........

Know what you mean about the stigma thingy. Think I have got used to not smoking in public, so tend to use it at home, in the car, at friend's homes if they smoke, same with family, if I'm sitting outside at a pub or cafe and in the book cupboard at work if I'm feeling bold or desparate!!!!!
