I washed my bathroom nets a couple of weeks ago and hung them up properly instead of draped over a pole - how virtuous I felt

Tonight, inspired by Hanow, I've sorted and taken down the recycling and the waste, no mean task - and was very careful on the stairs and front steps!

I got burgled - the policewoman said to me "Sorry, they've made a terrible mess of it"... but it was pretty much as I had left it with some precious bits missing

We were unfourtunatly burgled 6 years ago now > and i will never forget a policeman comming out of my son's bedroom and saying to me "dont go in yet there yet the b*****d's have trashed the room"...... when i did go into my lad's room both were aged 16 and 11 at the time i felt so ashamed because the bugulars hadnt touched it really it was trashed to start with lol needless to say they were made to tidy their room incase of future burgulars paying us a visit (touch wood never happened again) joking aside it is a very nasty experience and I wouldn't like anyone to go through it

Long time ago now, but even the children's rooms were ransacked & trashed; the whole house was. It was horrible

For weeks after, I was taking a kitchen knife to the loo with me - don't know what I thought I'd do with it !

They took everything of any value, so much that was precious & full of memories, & the insurers wouldn't pay a penny because there were no window locks

I've never bought anything of value since.

bad news about the insurance Lolli > and it is a horrible feeling knowing they had been in all your cupboards and drawers just tipping it everywhere... luckily we arrived home and the burgular was sitting in a car when we pulled up behind him, he drove off and when i went to open the front door there was the lads video games consoles and many other stuff piled into my wash basket and black bags all waiting to go, but as i said we came back rang the police and they had arrested him half hour later and they said they had been after him for months.. but in that half hour he had managed to sell a few bits of ours but we never got them back >

Our police were fab but never caught the burglars

I don't worry anymore though, there's nothing left they can take that really matters to me - apart from my photos & they wouldn't want those - lol

Hi all - you do make me chuckle.

Got the all clear from the doctor. Check up says everything seems to be working well. Wasn't my normal GP - locum - about 15, or so she seemed!

Great to have James back. His ears must have been burning a lot while he was away.

Hope you all got your houses spic-n-span. I managed to actually create more mess than I finally managed to clear away! But I got bored with sorting, and have moved on to sewing now! Curtain making. >
