Rayon is far more forgiving than cotton or japanese/muji cotton pads. Particularly useful in an RDA when you may not drip in time. With rayon, you tend to get a warning taste of a dry hit, but without the burnt wick so you get the warning to drip without having to rewick as you would with any of the cotton variants. YMMV

I've dallied with the cotton pads, but still use cotton wool balls for my drippers, and rayon for my Kayfuns. I find that the flavour is better in the KFs with rayon, it's a cleaner flavour. I only use cotton wool in the drippers because it's easy to use and I change it so often, it only cost about a penny each time I rewick - yes I'm a tightwad!!

I got some of this last time I ordered www.vape-atomizer-mesh.com/products/BioWick-.htmlHave tried it in dripper and kayfun so far and its OK but not a patch on the cotton pads. It has a very strong new cotton taste for a long time. And I think it mutes the flavours more than muji or the cotton pads do.

Tim pm me your address and I'll pop a couple of cotton pads and some rayon in post so you can try em. Thanks for the offer igual. I really don't need them though. I get a better taste from rba's than I ever did from manufactured ones. (unless I mess up after too much beer). The offer is really kind though. Still amazes me how kind everyone here is. As I use high a VG% I suspect cotton wicks better than rayon etc. I am led to believe synthetic is good for wicking thinner juice.

Up to now I have used muju and jap cotton I have found to my taste I like the jap better I just seem to get a better result (probably me ) Then again I Lie I have some cotton balls Iv been using in the dripper . I will be trying the rayon in the kaifun because if I use to much which I tend to do when trying something new hopefully this will be more forgiving for me 'fingers crossed' thank you so much everyone for all the tips and also all these great pics it really helps to be able to see what you have to do

Less is more, as said, with cotton. This is a twisted 0.32mm build around a 2mm bit (I think, although probably actually around a syringe needle) all wicked up with a Japanese cotton pad... Clapton coil before adding the wick : Thank you I so appreciate all these pics I'v got a really good idea of what I'm looking for now and looking forward to trying it ,I just have to wait for the rayon with the bank holidays probably around Thursday. I will take some pics as I do it then if I stuff it up hopefully you all will be able to tell me where iv gone wrong , is there a quick way of draining the kaifun or is it a case of holding on tight like the lemo ???

Draining the Kayfun is relatively easy. I just unscrew the plug, slip a syringe needles in the whole, and drain into the syringe. Clean and easy.
Personally I didn't like Rayon. As it didn't taste too bad when it was dry, I found it more difficult to tell if I was getting a dry hit, lol.

Well I have pads , balls, roll cotton wool and raylon now so hopefully one will suite me , I have a question you probably will think its a silly one, with the Kai fun , lemo and the likes of the goblin what's the lowest your ohms can be ?? I do like around the 1 ohm mark but was just wondering if people can sub ohm in these tanks ??

Did you not see my picture? lol. One build is 0.57 Ohm and another at 0.65 Ohm. I current have a 0.5 Ohm build in my Kayfun, but my Lemo Drop has a paltry 1 ohm coil in it just now...

I tend not to build my tanks any lower than 0.5 Ohm anyway, as that's the limit on my DNA30, and my 10A batteries won't go any lower than that either (although I would probably recommend 30A batteries for that resistance anyway as the 10A are right at their limits). Any resistance lower than that gets lumped on a mech with VTC5's. Usually in a dripper.
