Reading postive comment here with regards to the above so want to try some, now I have just updated my efusion with Evolv's .ecig settings and now have a profile SS304..... Where to get some? Steath don't seem to sell it....also can this stuff be dry burnt, my only negative with NI200 over kanthel, well that and clone posts cutting the stuff....This might solve both? Edit...also what's a middle ground gauge for both single and duel ? Edit again.... This ?

It dry burns well, I am using the 317L stuff. I just experimented with mine on the Xcube (wouldn`t pay for the upgrade) You would be surprised what you can get away with on the Xcube. I think with most TC mods it`s just a reference, depends greatly on how good the programmers are. I put my Xcube on Nickel, started off at minimum temp and then just worked my way up until it TCd properly. I think it ended up at about 200F (may have messed with the resistance coefficient) but it was the same heat and flavour as a nickel coil would have given me at double that displayed temperature. It was a clean taste compared to the nickel, but not a lot in it between nickel and SS.

this might be a load of bunkum but it from what others had said is would seem to be pretty accurate taken from www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0171DPKP8/ref=s9_hps_bw_g60_i10 this product page I don't personally use ss or tc at the moment but if I start this will likely be the company I buy from and probably the product I buy, based primarily off the fact they don't rip you off on the price of a few feet or wire and they respond to questions asked on rather than relying on consumers to help each other out, and its cheaper than your initial product link letsavit

lol I hadn't spotted that, but my point still stands about the wire's suitability, best to get the stuff that's meant for using the vape stick than the stuff designed for weaving into a mesh strainer for coal mining or brewers strainers /

Vape Mesh\Crazy Wire Co just sell standard quality industrial product and in my experience they just don't understand the needs of vapers, nothing special about the wires they sell. Just look at what they thought was vapable Ti allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/thread/45281/crazy-wire-live-name , since that post I have had other issues with their range and so called customer service and I would have been far less generous in what I wrote and will not use them is there is any alternative.

I've been trying SS304,very easy to use and half the price of 316/17. I read that it was 'spiky'and with my DNA200 the escribe graph is all over the place, didn't vape all that well but only the first attempt(s). you can also use it in kanthal mode so may try that instead.

I know that you have gone for 317 but I'm still having a few problems with 304. On my 4th build tonight, I have dual 0.5mm x 3mm spaced coils for 0.17 ohms and TC won't work. Still a cracking vape at 60w with a home brew Key Lime cheesecake, I'm going to have to make another 30ml tomorrow.

just checked out the 317l wire on amazon and checked out 0.25mm 0.3mm o.4 and 0.5mm wires all with 0.12 Electrical Resistivity (microhm-cm (at 68 Deg F))?? me thinks they have copied n pasted the same data for each wire, but is little help in deciding which to opt for.. i dont want to be building monster coils due to buying too big a wire..

Well mines arrived and I'll have a play over the Christmas holidays on a few mods.... did you ever get your ss317L wire to work ? ive tried to use it on a koopor plus 200w mod in temp mode (dual coil build measuring 0.2 ohms)but all it does is set light to the e-juice (stuff literally bursts into flames above the cotton which is totally unburnt) ive messed with the tcr settings and all sorts but cant figure it out, I know from dry burning the coils that the temp limiting was working to start with but now it seems ot whack 200w at the coil and just sticks to reading 77 degrees whilst the e-juice is on fire, thing is its wicking just fine as the cotton isn't even singed and the juice drains out of the tank faster than my previous kanthal build did whilst I was using it ( half a tank of e-juice gone so far trying to figure this out..) should I just bin the build and start again or just go back to using kanthal /ni200 ? I really cant understand what is going wrong with this /

I really cant understand what is going wrong with this / Yep....worked fine straight of the bat but got a few burnt hits recently so had a little play/test the other day, My Food for thought for now.. It doesn't cut the power no where near as quick as NI200 so the watts have to be balanced more with the temp. Along the same line it doesn't seem to like "pre heat" on the DNA200, it doesn't seem to need it though, it heats almost instantly. It's no kanthel when it comes to dry burning, melted some at 30 watts. When doing a dry cotton burn test it passed, when I saturated with juice there was an obvious hot spot, at one point it glowed before cutting the power, weird....? Got a SS kayfun Dna200 running fine while I type though....not sure if it's going take out NI200 for me, only pro ATM is it doesn't chop with posts as easy as NI200..... Do note though I have been using NI200 now for over a year so trying to give it a fair chance and not to be "stuck in my ways" I also do little research and like to find my own way....prob all issues have been cover in a you tube vid somewhere but I'll get there in a month or so....lol
