So, how much do you reckon you've spent on vaping gear so far. I realise most can say a lot less than on ciggies but how much have you spent in cold hard cash chasing the perfect vape. Or maybe you just have a shopping fetish, not that that's directed at anyone in particular Come on folks fess up, your amongst friends and we won't tell your better half unless they're also members

Absolutely no idea Greg . . . . but despite the extravagances, considerably less than the £70(some) a week I was spending 6+years ago on ciggies to support my 40-50 a day habit. And! I've flipping loved, loved spending whatever I have done on vaping related ephemera. I never got that pleasure buying tobacco . . . . .

I have a "loose" vaping budget of £40 a month, sometimes i spend a little more often a little less. So over 6 years and 8 months I have rughly spent 80 x £40 = £3200 Look at my signature to see how much I have saved.

Greg bit cheeky not fessing up yourself. I reckon less than most enthusiast because I mix my own liquid mainly one flavour so ATM it costs 2.5 p per ml and I have used 9.8 l in the last 920 days, so under £100 per year. I have stopped buying cheap mods and clone mods and tanks that get rejected after a week and now just buy what I know I will use say £100 a year on tanks and £200 on mods, plus sundries say £50 makes about £450 a year, but with some of the less wise purchase I have mad in the past probably spent £5-6k in total.

VapingBad I haven't fessed up because I have absolutely no idea how much I've spent hence my question to see if others had a better handle on things. As your likely aware I quit a couple of weeks ago and I'm working up go buying a big old storage box to tidy nearly everything away. When I do that I'll have a stab at rotting things up. At least I have the benefit of selling very very little on so what I've bought I still have, even if it's turned its toes up

I know it's sad but I still keep a spreadsheet of every 'vaping' spend plus what I would have spent on fags. It's a good job I've never suffered from 'shineyitis' but it does keep me motivated. In nearly 4 years... Vaping £2,523 Smoking £11,150 Net Saving £8,627 (don't ask me where it is though!)

I'm surprised you've spent that much, you never seem to post about the latest and greatest, or any, kit you've bought. If you've spent that much then I'm really worried what I might have spent. What's in hand right now @ raffles ? Easy Tiger

What's in hand right now @ raffles ? Easy Tiger Luckily, I've never suffered from the 'must have' attitude, why do you think I'm still happy with my 'last century' Volvo. If it works, that'll do for me. I've got a couple of the original iStcks 20w and if one packs up I'll look for a 'reasonable' replacement.

In 4 years I reckon about £5000 on vape related stuff sounds expensive but my cigs were costing me a 40 a day habit at say £7 a packet then. Shit £20,440 hard to believe really but the figures are there so only really spend about a quarter on gear.As MrDJ said loads to see for it and enough nic for another 7 or 8 years .

I dread to think what I've spent although I have kept all my paypal notices in a file so I could add it up but I would scare myself silly I think.
I have shinyitus and concentrate compulsion and anything else vape related and I have to have even numbers of everything and back-ups for back-ups for back-ups.
Perhaps one day I will add it all up, I know it will be more that smoking as I smoked rollies so £25 a week it cost me.

I've not really totted it up? mainly because buying vape gear brings me massive joy. I know that my banner savings are somewhat skewed as I'd got to the point that I was buying duty free tobacco and making my own with cigarette tubes and packing machine (which was bloody messy and time consuming) So rather than paying each day for a pack of 20 (at about £7) I was using 2x 50 gramme tobacco pouches I got via duty free, so about £15 a week plus filter tubes so maybe £20 a week? That's how I allow myself up to £100 a month for vaping budget So my vape budget still matches my smoking spend. BUT I own some good quality gear, have a freezer with about 4litres of nicotine and enough flavour concentrates to do me a decade. On top of that I have at least 8 high quality atomisers and another 20 or so mainstream tanks that I could be happy using forever (along with 6 almost indestructible mods) I also have enough wire and wick to keep me building for all eternity I never need to buy a single thing ever again. But I will! 'cos I enjoy it and my humungous collection of bespoke driptips? If I have to, I'll wear them on my charm bracelet!
