Is it me, or it this the most stupid game ever invented? How long will it be till someone is killed chasing these stupid cartoons around the place? The recent story on the BBC I thought it was one of those politically incorrect jokes along the lines of, an Irishman, an Englishman and a Scot were chasing Pokemons or whatever the plural is for these things....... But it wasn't it was real FFS. www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-36854134If I was a lawyer I'd wringing my hands with glee following this craze. Someone is going to sue Nintendo before too long, you can just see it. Maybe it's me as I have never been into video games, but this one takes the biscuit in my book for it's stupidity.

Snap, can't see the point of them, "Grown Ups that haven't" as far as I'm concerned they deserve whatever happens to them for being so STOOPID (as Judge Rinder would say). It's idiots like this that causes Nanny State laws to be made.

I'm in two minds on this one. I was 12-13 when the whole Pokémon thing kicked off but was never into it. I can see why people in their mid 30s or younger who bought the cards and had the gameboy games etc are enjoying the nostalgia trip. It is encouraging people to exercise more too and that can't be a bad thing. But... the part of me that thought it was sad back in t'day, still thinks it's sad

I have never been into gaming myself but could understand the attraction to children and even those grown-ups who had got addicted during their childhood ... as long as it was engaged in safely at home not running around the streets risking theirs and others lives chasing virtual creatures. There was a case in the USA at the weekend where upwards of 20 of these gamers stormed through a wedding venue hunting a Pokemon and resulting in a very tearful bride. There is also the dangers of being so engrossed in the virtual world that you neglect to guard your personal safety in the real world.

I think it's a fantastic way to get people out of the house and interacting with others I don't at all find it childish and there is no need to do crazy things you don't need to be in an exact spot to catch one my son has caught one from inside my house that was in the garden of the house across the street. Btw my son is almost 20 him and a few of his friends have been doing it to get them out of the house on week nights instead of being sat in a chair shooting graphical images. I just think there are far worse things the youth of today could be doing than going out for a walk and having a little fun at the same time.
Go Pokemon hunters!!!!!!

There doesn't have to be a point. What's the point of watching football or having more than 3 mods. Each to their own. Stamp collecting, train spotting, trading cards - they all appeal to an inate (I guess) instinct to collect. None of them appeal to me but I have trouble explaining, even to myself, how much vape gear I have.

I've been seriously contemplating installing the app myself . . . . after a colleague at work showed me yesterday how it all works, thinking it might create a bit more interest/fun for when I'm out on my hikes with the dog - you don't have to be looking at the your phone either, it pings when you're within distance of a Pokemon. Anything that gets people out and about walking rather than sitting on their bots in front of a screen is a positive to me, there's several of the girls at work who have said their offspring have never been so keen to take the family pooch out!

I'm already on it. Had it installed before it even came out in the UK. Love it and it's augmented reality which is cool as hell.
If you don't like the idea of catching Pokémon have a look at a game called Ingress. It is what Pokémon Go uses for there game.
Blue team, level 10 and was top of a gym in Shepton. Probably not now though.
Expect more stuff like this soon as Google brings out daydream in the next version of Android.

Shame they are not real. At least the dog could have some fun chasing weird creatures instead of the neighbours cat.
