Will do Kate, happily my vaping experiences have only been of a positive nature so far.

Hi Kate, from what i've seen lately a lot of people don't realise what they'll actually go through just because they've quit smoking. Its nice to see you've added a link on there just for that info. Happily nothing to report here either.

Brilliant idea Kate For me, it's the same as Perpy & Ckc, nothing to report - just tons of positive benefits

Thanks all I thought it would be handy to have a central point to gather signs and symptoms because they're all over the place on different forums at the moment. I've just heard two reports of stomach problems in the last two days, prolly something to do with over/under dose of nicotine or glycerine I think.

This may well be a very uncharitable observation on my part Kate, which doubtless will come out badly . . . . . but I wonder if these people who do suffer any adverse vaping experiences are also a little 'precious' generally about things? There I've said it, hopefully not too unkindly but trust you get my drift.

There probably are some Perpetua but from what I can tell some people do get very bad symptoms. I've heard of three who ended up going to hospital for checks.
Luckily the point of the report system isn't to judge, it's just to collect information. Folks can make up their own minds what they do with it and how serious it seems to them.

I get your drift Perpy So many people don't realise that they will experience several "strange" & sometimes worrying symptoms due to giving up smoking. For instance (& confirmed by any dentist) - bleeding gums. I've also seen a few people on ECF post saying they have come down with a heavy cold since starting vaping - er out of 40,000 members, some one at some time or other is bound to have a cold & it's nothing to do with vaping.

Hi Kate, chest/breathing probs, by any chance..?
i've had probs on and off, kinda tightness in the chest region, no actual pain, more discomfort...bit worrying, not that ive actually gone to Dr to check it out, but enough to cause a bit of concern...

O that's not nice for them and I feel a bit mean now for saying. It will make interesting reading I'm sure.

Lilac, the hospital ones I heard about - two sounded like nicotine overdose, bad headaches and such. One was dizzyness, fainting and some other stuff like numbness but the link with vaping was never properly established from what I can tell. You're the first I can recall who has mentioned breathing/chest tightness, I wonder what would cause that. I've been off cigs and vaping for over two years now and just in the last couple of months I've developed a really annoying tickley cough. I've even considered smoking because it's an unproductive cough, I'm coughing and nothing moves.
It's also common for folks to get the squits (diarrhoea) when changing nicotine dose.
I got acid reflux for a long time and for a couple of months I had mouth ulcers but nothing serious.

Good evening Kate and to everyone! Kate your big post made me jump out of my skin!
I did have a reaction or two, but I sincerely believe that it was more to do with giving up the rollies.

There was a thread on ECF about side effects Kate, there were quite a few mentioned similar probs....i do wonder if its the drying effects of eliquid on the lungs.....i remember reading that eliquid is converted to lactic acid in the lungs, which might account for discomfort in that region...
It's worse for me if i attemptto use a passthrough and also at first when using a LR atty, altho it passes after a few days of use...
I do feel it's a lung thing, rather than a heart thing...
Another member in here, Raggy, experienced similar probs, which we both reckoned were worse when using high VG liquids

Lol, sorry Beeper, I should really resize that pic ... I'll go do that now Lilac, those forum health threads are everywhere. The one at ECF was massive even before I left over a year ago. I'm too lazy to go around and collect all the symptoms so thought it would be best to ask folks to come to VN and report.

prolly something to do with over/under dose of nicotine or glycerine I think. Are you omitting PG deliberately? Just wondered. Some people think that glycerine is preferable because it's "natural", I've always preferred PG meself but for no other reason than the vape suits me better. But I think I'm vaping a mix with James's juices. The only reaction of note that I remember has been indigestion/heartburn from swallowing juice My own fault. I agree with Perpy about "precious" vapers, there are a few Great idea to create the record, Kate scylla
