Thanks Lilac - look forward to hearing what you think of it. I shall definitely have to get a second one of something. Couldn't stand it if my Riva gives up, or I run our of spares etc. Belt and braces stuff required.

Does it say 'passed to customs'? I had a package delivered last week saying that. Next day 'passed out of customs'. The screen didn't get updated after that, but it arrived next with no charge made. My PF man said that someone he delivers to here regularly orders stuff from China, and he estimates that is is only one in ten that he gets clobbered for tax - despite them all being more or less the same quantity/item each time.

Ken, not a great start, but you have got going. Step 1 complete. Well done. It does take a bit of playing around with juices and the equipment before you hit the right note. The arrival of my Riva coincided with some juices from James Paradise. I had five to sample. Two not so keen, but three I liked, one in particular. L and B, which is a popular one amongst peeps in here. However, what I have learned is that rather than discard a juice, you can actually mix something else in it - another juice. Thus today I have been vaping L and B mixed with Caramel apple pie. The caramel one tastes lovely but has no vape to speak of. Sounds an odd combination, but is lovely. Very good vaping and great taste. My kitchen surface looks a bit like a chemistry lab. But it has taken me three weeks now to really decide what I like, what works etc. Did you get your tobacco juice/carts from James? I think most people here do rate his juices above many others. Good luck, and keep it up.

You got Sammy on board too! Can see that you didn't do any better with the size of your pic than I did! Took me three attempts to get mine on here. My skills do not improve with age.

Lilac - you probably posted it somewhere, or Bucko did, but 1) is the Mako the one for which there was a new video to watch? 2) Where did you buy it from? 3) How much was it? That should keep you occupied for half-an-hour answering that lot!

Chrissie - new kitten? Wonderful - and waiting to see the pics. I would love to get a kitty, but poor thing would spend its life hiding and escaping from my cat-hating-mutts. They both go into demonic mode at the mere whiff of a cat, let alone sight of one.

That's good news Dee - glad you are up and vaping again. Great to hear that they are the right ones and working well. Can you just please clarify -something. The ones you have ordered are NOT LRs - is that correct? I ordered just one from them - and had almost given up trying to clean, blow, suck. I assumed I had the wrong one. Mine has either MB or MP written on it, where the Riva ones say Titan. However, I read someone's advice here (again, sorry not sure who it was) but I finally put it on to the battery, dropped a couple of drops of juice on it, then pressed the battery button a few times. It hissed and crackled. I then attached a filled cart - and it worked - woohay!!!!!!! Meanwhile, my Riva ones are now working perfectly again/still, so they have been lovingly restored to my kit-box for use. So glad I hadn't thrown them away.

Three weeks today. (smug jiggly dance smily here). Absolutely no desire at all to touch one of those tobacco things again, no withdrawal, cough - what cough? Haven't felt this much success and achievement in years.

(((((((Scylla)))))))) - don't understand any of the last post, or who said what, where and to whom. but PMSL - that's the sort of thing I would do if I tried to edit/cut/paste etc. So glad it isn't just me, but Scylla, if this makes you feel any better, I would get into that kind of pickle any time of the day. Hope you finally got a good night's sleep. Dee and other Riva users - I have said it somewhere else, but will repeat: my atties appeared to be failing (the two that came with my kit). But, for unknown reasons, after leaving them for a day - they are now fully recovered. Don't understand it at all, but Chrissie et al have commented that that they can appear to waken from a coma, so don't throw them away when your appear a bit lifeless. Happy vaping day everyone.

Scylla, Chrissie and other mods - none of us newbies would be getting off the ground at all if you weren't here advising us. Don't feel bad for things that go wrong when they are totally outside of your control.

Hissie - we understand the panic. Many of us newbies had things go wrong for the first few days, but it got sorted. I have only tried the Riva, and when it works, it is good. I didn't want to go for a cheaper one in case it wasn't effective, and I would have given up on the whole idea. I have the willpower of a dead slug. Once we make the decision to take the plunge, we want to get going asap. Try to hang on with what you have tomorrow. It is my 3-week anniversary tomorrow. I have probably spent a fair bit on juices and bits, but think that as from this week, I shall be ahead financially compared to what I would have spent on real cigarettes.
