I am no coiling God but clogging varies from juice to juice, temperature you vape at and cannot be generalised.
Benefit of silica inside SS would be the wick would be wet at all times. So more juice burn = more clogging.
Best thing to do is suck it and see if it suits your taste..Can't be that much of a waste.

Great thanks. So it's not the Tobeco clone and is the Rainbow Heaven one...
That's mighty tempting at the price..

If the button is still lighting up and there is no obvious wire disconnects, then it's most likely that a component on the circuit board is fried and it's beyond economic repair.
Very little chance of recovering that one I am afraid. I have seen a few spinners go that way. You can post it to me if you like and I can take a look and return it if I can repair it or keep it for spares if I can't.

First thing I would check is the center pin. Prise it out and if it falls out then the red wire from the circuit board to the center pin is disconnected. If the red wire is disconnected it may be possible to solder it back without having to take the thing apart provided you can retrieve the red wire through the small hole.
If the red wire is still attached you can push it back in with some tweezers or some such. Then use a solid clearo/carto like a EVOD and wiggle the connector from the tube. Go slow and don't wrench. It's all very delicate and putting the button back in takes some knack or you'll end up shearing off components from the circuit board. So go slow.

Probably a soldering connection has broken inside..Most likely the ground wire from the top of the battery to the circuit board.

901 cartos should be female threading..Have you got a link to the cartomizers you bought?
A 510 to 901/808a adapter will not help you if your cartos are a male thread..

If it was my first attempt, I would make a smaller quantity first. Tobacco flavours generally need a higher percentage.
Aim for 6 ml with 2ml base (33.33%), 0.4 ml plain PG (~8%),1.2 ml flavour (20%) and 2.4 ml VG (40%). Allow it to steep for atleast a week and try it.
If you are happy try mix larger quantities or adjust flavouring strength and try a small quantity again before mixing larger lots.

Make a carto cleaner by supergluing a carto condom with the bottom punched out, to a syringe..You can then use high pressure hot water to clean the gunk if needs must.
I have used it with very good success when I was using cartos.

Generally water vapour (steam) is safe to breathe in even direct from the tap. Water used in Sauna's are not marked as drinking water in many countries. Britain is one of the very few countries which supplies drinking water in all taps.
Deionised or distilled water is used to cut VG because it is non-conductive to prevent the atty shorting out. Impurities normally present in drinking water cause it to conduct electricity. There is no difference in water vapour regardless of de-ionised or distilled. However, as pointed out distilled water is no longer 100% distilled once opened.
Whatever gives one peace of mind, I guess.

Roll up a piece of mesh tightly to the right diameter and remove the screw and use the mesh as a bung..
Or a piece of cocktail stick or some such if you can find one that is 2.5 mm in diameter.
