Bought this meself from a Chinese Vendor on Taobao.com - think it worked out around $50 inc commission + delivery.
Arrived within a week - some advantages of being in China LoL
The box was as per usual from Joyetech - although the contents were a bit of a mess - the placcy bag had come open so was all over the place
Comes with 3 heads - the Notch reading 0.28Ohms, a 1.5Ohm Clapton and a 0.5 SS + the same RBA as the Cubis tank.
Also comes with a USB lead, 2 black DT's (one narrow, one wide) and an Allen Key to adjust the tanks alignment.
Usual instructions and a guide card - which head is best for what type of vaping (DI or MTL), suggested settings, juice and battery usage - very handy!
The Cuboid Mini is pretty small - for what it offers - see piccies below - and feels really nice in the hand. the Cuboid felt almost as heavy as me Realeaux and relatively 'slippy' whereas the mini sits in me hand very nicely - with the accompanying tank or anything else i've tried
Rx200, Eleaf 50W, Cuboid Mini, Kbox original, and Cuboid - smallest of the bunch.
Kbox + KSM, Cubis mini with it's smart rectangular tank, Cuboid and Cubis and Eleaf 50W with Anyvape FuryTank 2
It arrived with around 3/4 charge - so whacked it on charge whilst i was setting it up - the tank comes detached, so need to choose a coil head, prime it, screw it onto the top cap, fill with juice (not all the way to the top of the window
) and pop it in.
The Notch coil was the one i was looking forward to trying - so grabbed that, primed it etc and got ready to vape as soon as it was fully charged. Actually pretty quick - around an hour or so.
As the Notch is SS it can be used on either normal power (W) mode or with TC in SS mode - so tried both. @b Road Blaster suggested that "need 45w to get them cooking (imho)" - and in power mode this is probably about right.
In SS mode, with the 1mg-ish 50/50 juice i've got, i'm quite liking 35W at around 240C - see how it goes. Unlike most Joyetech coils, the notch doesn't seem to have to be 'broken in' as much - and was usable at 45W pretty much straight away. Loads of vapour, and a good Shape to the Vape - a good 'Thick', tasty load of vapour, good warmth and a cracking Vape!
Aside from wanting to try the Notch coil - which so far i'm impressed with (though juice use is higher than i'd like with me juice sitch at the mo LoL) me Eleaf has been temperamental of late (over a year old, and well travelled) so i wanted a more pocket sized device - especially as i've heard that it's going to be mid 30's in the summer here. And i'm really liking the form factor. The Kbox is the next smallest, but only works with the KSM (though do have a TopTank mini due via Ireland) and love with RX200 and like the Cuboid - but just too big for hot weather.
Battery life will probably be quite short for me - i tend to use 2-3 2500 MaH batteries a day in the Kbox - but the PT function is pretty good.
Speaking of such things - no explanation for what Bypass mode is? Doesn't seem to work with the TC - so whilst i've tried it with the Notch (as it can be used in W mode too) it just seems to set at 52.9W's with the Notch?
Here's the Mini with a couple of other misers onboard:
Cuboid Mini and Cubis - not bad and of course the Notch coil works nicely
Mini with the Anyvape FuryTank 2 - with the Ni head - works very well
And does the Tank fit on the RX200?
Yep - but it ain't pretty LoL Works very well though.
And finally - VP with the Notch set at my (so far) preferred - SS 235C at 35W's
So quick 1st Impressions summary:
Really nice Form Factor - Same chip as the full sized cuboid and firmware updatable. Small and yet has a nice weight too (you know it's there but it won't bother you) - just about perfect. Display is large enough to read easily and nice and clear
Tank is 5mlish - nice size - especially as the Notch can blow clouds if that's what you look for.
Excellent Vapour and flavour production - though i can't really check on how good it is with subtly as i have no such juice to play with.
Without doubt the Notch Coil has really made the Cubis and Cuboid Mini tank into a real, leak free, easy use and fill challenger to the usual SubTanks!Big advantage over the Cubis tank (which i dropped and found that there was no way to just replace the glass!) - very difficult to break as the tank is metal aside from the viewing window!
Apparently a 2400MaH pre-installed, non-changeable battery onboard - USB chargeable - will update when i have a use time.
comes with 3 heads + a RBA Head - though i haven't even tried to build with it yet - looked pretty fiddly on the cubis.
The Pyrex DT in me pics i took from me Cubis - the black one came with a narrow and wide delrin DT.
Loving this ickle thing so far - more than the original Cuboid which kinda felt Clunky to me - though the functionality was excellent.
Will update as i learn more.
Edit
So first use of the battery - 4 hours 50 minutes on a charge at 35W at 230C - not too bad - enough for a night out and being out and about
Should be added that this was whilst sat at me computer on a Sunday - so pretty much chain vaping - with only gaps for taking pics, playing with changing misers and typing the review - so potentially 6+ hours of more 'normal' use (when not wanting to play as much with me new toy as possible LoL)
Set to SS 230C at 25W's with the SS 0.5 Ohm coil and got almost 9 hours whilst working - now that's a tad betterI do think the Notch coil is very good - switched over to me Cubis and Cuboid combo though, so that i can run it at 40-45W's and not worry about battery life - i just think that for the mini the SS 0.5's are a better fit for a mod limited by a non-changeable battery;)
Took around between 2-3 hours ( last checked at just after 2 hours without being full) to fully charge using a 1A USB - (Dual USB - max 2.1A but had me spare phone battery charging too - see if it makes any difference tomorrow)
Apparently the Notch heads are 'quite easy' to rewick
