It's a pity though that atties are such a weak link. It's not so much the cost - although when an attie costs around a fiver unless you buy in bulk, the savings for a 10 to 15 a day smoker like me are not huge when you get a batch that die in a couple of days. It's the sheer unreliability that bugs me, and has so far prevented me from becoming a whole-hearted vaper. I can't help wondering how many prospective vapers are totally lost to the cause by the disappointment of dodgy ones. I would definitely pay more for reliable atties, the health benefits would make it worth it and the only reason I keep trying when I get frustrated.

I'm not sure if a combination of every cure known to man could do it for me. (If you ever see someone walking around covered in patches, chewing the gum, swallowing the pills, with acupuncture needles sticking out of their earlobes and heading off to the hypnotist that'll be me giving it a go.) So it's a huge achievement for me to be smoking so few these days, and I bless the day I got started with my ecig.

Have voted too. There are things I've always found heart-warming on this forum, like raggy's example of people not being snapped at to go and search when they ask a question that's been asked before. I've noticed that people are never ignored either. So long as we keep that atmosphere I'm personally not too worried about how things are organised, but thanks for giving us all the opportunity to offer suggestions.

All done perpy, my payment and PM should be with you by now. I would have been in a state of panic if I'd had to organise all that!!!

When you are blowing out your atty make sure your lips surround the complete screw end including the little air holes.
Oh! I've been blowing on mine the way I'd blow a dandelion.

Stoopid question :-[ but what exactly is blowing out? Does it just mean blowing through the battery end??? I smiled at beeper's post because I'm normally ruthless about getting rid of things that don't seem to perform as well as they did (watch out OH!) but I can hardly bear to let my old atties go. I've got a little collection I keep because I mutter "how can it be gone? it can't be gone" and put it aside just in case. Another question - do new batteries need a bit of breaking in like new atties? I've recently changed mine and was disappointed in them at first, I thought they were duff, but they seem better now after a couple of recharges.

Chrissie, I was so sorry to read about your worries, hope Isaac and Merlin are both well now. A little story to make you laugh. I go to pieces when my little Cairn Terriers have anything wrong with them, biting my nails, sitting up with them all night, etc. OH bought me a nice big box of Terry's All Gold last week - I went upstairs for 10 minutes and came down to find the box on the floor. EMPTY! Dark chocolate too, the worst kind for furry friends. They looked as happy as could be but I bundled them both in the car and went straight to the vet and he gave them each an injection to induce vomiting. They are fine now but that was an expensive box of chocs

Hi always, and welcome to this lovely helpful board! I took up vaping about 3 months ago. As you propose to do I gradually reduced my real cigs and got along fine like that, finding i was reaching for my e-cig more and more until I'd almost cut out real cigs completely. The only downside was that before I quite got to that point I went to Greece for 3 weeks where cigs are cheaper and everyone seems to smoke, and I 'fell off the wagon'. Still, I'm back on course now and prefer to spend my spare cash on e-cig supplies. I bought the 901 and then a bit later bought the 510 to try. They are both good, but my personal preference is still for the 901. And I second what everyone else has said about the juices from paradise vapes, nothing else hits the spot like those. Whatever you decide, go for it, I never thought ANYTHING could get me off cigs!

I've also tried Eastmall's juices, whilst they aren't quite up to James's superlative standard, they're not bad Thanks Perpy. I've tried 3 of James's tobacco flavours now, Benson Fences, LnB, Golden Virgin, and I love them all. I did a very scientific experiment this morning filled some carts with those and with some others, and James's definitely have the added oomph. I'm sure I could have guessed them blindfolded, like the old 'can't believe it's not butter' adverts. So where juices are concerned I've decided to stick with James's oomph. I'll definitely go for some hardware though.

I forgot to add in my reply - that's probably going to be a big outlay. Wouldn't you like some advance payment? We could always pay for what we've ordered and send you our postage and any additional costs when you know the totals.

Hi Perpy, Just had a look at the link and those are really good prices even taking shipping into account! I'd love to join in for some atties definitely, it's always worth stocking up with those. Will PM you when I get my thoughts organised. Got a question for anyone who knows. Those liquids look a good price too, and I want to make sure I've got a good stock in case of you-know-what. I really only like tobacco flavours, and I've got a special liking for James's higher-strength B&H, though OKsmokey's come a close second. Has anyone tried those Eastmall liquids, and can anyone recommend any tobacco flavours I might like?

This is getting desperate. It was bad enough when we thought they might ban the sale of e-juices, but if they go for a total ban and we can't even get hardware, replacement atties etc, we're done for. Even if existing vapers were somehow able to struggle on by stocking up, going underground and so on, there'd be no new vapers and no growth in the market. Please someone tell me I'm wrong.
