Hey Ram, just thought I'd point out - although the markings on the twist are at 0.2v intervals, you're not limited to those intervals - you can stop between the points, but yeah, it's mostly about taste!

I have the itaste v2 (magnets...) and find the button a bit iffy it doesn't fire well all the time, and won't fire at all if the led screen is lit - i.e. if you have changed the voltage. It does look the business tho lol. Overall... it doesn't get much use anymore... Provari is great, but I would try vv in a twist or something first to see how you like it - it's a big investment! Also, again the classies are your friend when looking out for provari bargains; they're nigh indestructible so second-hand isn't a big downside

Don't bin the old heads! Throw them in some warm water and chuck them around a bit to clear some of the gunk, then leave to dry for a day or two - it might have some life left in it Helps to keep the costs down... At some point though, they have just had it, but keep anyway in case you decide to rewick further down the line. I've had a go (without a huge amount of success it has to be said ) and plan to try again next time I decide a head is truly dead...

Hi and welcome Niamh! I think the poll (on here?) a wee while back showed that a lot of vapers were former rollie smokers - I have a feeling that rollers are more used to the ritual of smoking, and so the rituals of vaping (filling cartos, cleaning gear, having a 'kit') help to fill some of the habits that you have around smoking. I know it helps me when I'm messing with my gear, because I'm so used to spending time rolling up! For me, it was hard to treat an ecig like a ciggie - held in two fingers - because of the weight, even of the cigalikes, but once you get used to holding the barrel of the ecig in your hand it feels a lot more comfortable. The SDKeyring is a really small battery which still packs a bit of a punch, and is more the length you'd associate with a rollie - clickySooner than you think you'll probably want the convenience of a bigger battery, but right at first you may just want something that feels familiar and is easy to carry around. Though a lot of us start with the Riva kit - clicky! If you can get to a shop where you can try something out, that's the best way to find out what's most comfortable. Jason at VapeEscape has a cigalike kit for £22 with 5 cartos and two batteries - clickySkycig have a new discount code for Oct DEFA which brings the price down to £20 if you want to try their version - clicky - but even if you do, it's worth getting some cartos and juice as their flavours are quite chemical tasting I found. The only advantage this has over the 510 kit is the PCC (charging case). The Grizwald's range at VE has some great flavours, and you can get a pick n mix pack of 5 to try some out for about £13. Enjoy the adventure of finding out what suits you best! Good luck! Nick

Hi Ram, My vote would be to start with the twist - it's cheap, works well and can give you a good idea if you want to spend more money on a vv mod. Even with a provari, I still take a twist to work as it's small and light = portable. Works great with a vivi nova mini. I have a vtube mini SS (very like the LT v4 but SS rather than chromed), but don't use it since I got the provari, whereas I still use the twists. (Obligatory plug: provari has given me the best experience so far! But as I say, I still like the twists for when I don't want to carry a mod...) Really it depends on what you think you would prefer in your hand, and how you plan to use it - they all do very similar things. Good price on a 900mah twist at VH clickyVapeEscape do the v4 LT big and mini now clickyApollo's vtube clickyCan't speak to the gripper - I almost bought it a dozen times, but held off because I wasn't sure I'd like the design/build quality. Whichever you get, I think vv is worth going for as it makes it so easy to find the sweet spot, and to adjust the strength of your vape depending on mood etc Keep an eye on the classies too, the mod you're looking for could come up on here or UKV and you could get a bargain - that's how I got both my mods, and for great prices So, grab a twist for now and keep your eyes open would be my advice! Nick

Picked up provari from post office after missing delivery yesterday, waiting battery went straight in and vivi got transferred from the vtube.... aaaaaaand vape! Mmmmmm excellent Love the atomiser resistance checker - informed me my 2.4ohm vivi head was 2.8-2.9! So much easier than a multimeter (which I struggled with!) although I do wonder what the variance is? Anyway, it is as good as advertised, feels really comfortable to hold, and smaller than I expected - I think I'd find the mini too small. Looks just the thing with a vivi on it, and I've got a bunch of them so will have to resist the urge for a penelope to complete it... Many thanks to blade for a hassle-free sale, really pleased with my provari! And thanks to the forum for all the provari cheerleading which let me get past the cost to try this excellent mod! Nick

Hello Moon! Noticed you were interested in the ss lavatubes: In case you're not aware, Apollo do a stainless steel version of the lavatube in full and mini sizes - the vtube. I've got the mini (takes 18350 batts) and really like it - it's very smart, but it is heavy - at least 2x the weight of say a 900mah twist... looks great with a vivi on top and isn't top heavy if you place it upright on a table like an ego! vtube clicky I think they only have the mini SS currently in stock, just select mini and stainless steel and remember to put vtube30 in the dissie code - comes to about £60. I got mine from a classy on the UKV forum for an even better price - it's worth watching the classies! Only downside to the vtube as opposed to the latest model lavatubes is that the vtube doesn't have the atomiser resistance measure built in Edit: oops, should note that the apollo comes with battery, charger, case, atty and drip tip so it's not a bad deal - even if it is £20 more than the black ones. disclaimer: I don't work for apollo - I just like my vtube! Tho I have to say, it only made me want a provari even more, and will be going down to the sorting office to pick mine up tomorrow

If you're just looking for something to charge egos with - portable battery pack - these sort of things are really handy for all your usb devices.. Edit... tho I realise that this is similar to the original posted link, except without the 510 connector! Guess it depends on the cost/value of the modded version... At least it's got a decent charge - 6600mah, that should keep you going for a while!

Try putting a syringe cover over the top of the spiky thing - you do have to push it down a bit, but it works great as a cover. I'd put my spikey thing away because it was too messy, but will probably use it more now Although I still prefer my needle capped bottles, the spikey thing is great when filling straight from a bigger bottle.

Hi Jack, That looks like a chrome or stainless steel LT, which means it's one of the newer versions - I've got a mini SS vtube myself, looks very similar. I use a DCT plinth (type B) - www.vapeescape.co.uk/dct-plinths~324 with a vivi and find the draw to be just right, so you could try that? I think I'd find it too airy with an ego connector on top but YMMV... The plinths can also be used with your twist. If you've been using the vivis on your twist without a plinth, you may be used to quite an airy draw, you could try vaping for a while with the tighter draw, you may get used to it. I only use my twists for out and about now - the vtube is my at-home vape... until my provari arrives I find it more satisfying to have that weight in my hand and the button is much more comfortable!

AAEC for friendliness, quick responses, just good feeling. I'm also on UKV but so many of the threads segue into subtle and not so subtle bitching that it gets tiresome. There is good info on there though. ECF I only use via google to search for specific info/reviews - it's just too big. Also don't like not being able to preview a thread by hovering over thread title

Got my first DC Tank (tanks plural - stocked up with spares and cartos...), filled carto and tank and put on a mod. Vaped ok, but certainly no better than a vivi. Tried to get it off the mod and pulled the tank off the carto - juice all over my desk > I am likely to be getting rid of my DCT stuff somehow as it just seems too much hassle. Am I missing something or is this just legacy equipment now there are visions and vivis widely available? Nick

Very impressed with Health Cabin - ordered on 18th, shipped on 19th, received yesterday (26th)! I've had slower deliveries from the UK! Ordered in the sale, and got 20% discount because I went a little crazy (group buy style but all for meee!) had a lot of fun sorting through all the new toys yesterday Feel properly set up now - not going to run out of visions, vivis, cartos for a while... Didn't think of checking on here to see if anyone wanted to add to order (doh), will do next time though - especially if I can't get up to $500 worth to get that 20% dissie!

Hmmmm, been watching this thread for the last two days... I think I'm tempted I tried to resist the lure of the provari, but it's too hard! PM'd Nick oo nuther Manc, Hiya, and get the provari, you know it makes sense. Aye, the great wet north! A few weeks ago, I said, "I'll stick to egos for a while, make sure this vaping thing sticks" then I got a vtube, now I'm getting a provari, I really shouldn't make these promises :-[

No problem, in fact it was my pleasure Just paid blade and bought a charger and batts, so eagerly awaiting vapemail this week! Put all this into my vaping spreadsheet and it edged me over £1000 total - I've only been vaping a month! Must try and forget my paypal password (will now apply for ninja status...) Nick
