Hello Sleepyduck i vape mostly El Toro e-liquid and have several mechanical devices my pride and joy is a Caravela i recently purchased Hello Blackdog and welcome. I saw a photo of a Caravela and thought I would buy one as my very first mod. I went to their website, joined their forum and even sent a message asking how could I get one. I got no reply to the message, and saw from the forum that there's a long waiting list so I decided not to pursue it any further. I reckoned that paying for something is enough without having to jump through hoops to get it. Are they really worth the effort?

Ask your doc to send you for an xray. I had mild lung trouble many years ago and joint pains was one of the symptoms. I stress one of the symptoms so don't start thinking that's what you have. There's no harm, nevertheless, in getting an xray and breathing tests to find out what, if any, damage smoking has done to your lungs.

We have one of them, not the same brand but the same type of device. Bought it a few years ago after we caught a mouse in the kitchen and haven't had any problems since.

Here you go Flipflot The instructions for cleaning start around 7:20 into the clip. He's showing a Vivi Nova, but it's the same procedure for cleaning the Mini Nova. I have never tried rebuilding so don't know if that part is the same for VN and the mini.

You are actually going to tell him karma, that's a first Lol,I've persuaded him to buy me a basic Kindle for my Birthday next month! I'll have to order it though so may have to upgrade slightly Karma: A cheaper option to upgrading to the paperwhite might be to get the Kindle cover with light. The covers aren't cheap but AFAIK you can play audio books on the basic kindle. I saw the covers in PC world during the January sale but they were sold out when I went back to buy one. Maybe you would be better waiting to upgrade when they incorporate speakers in the paperwhite some time in the future.

I got the VG from Ebay. Can't remember the seller but it was from a link on here. Good seller but the heavy bottle of liquid made postage expensive. Think I got the PG from Liberty Flights. All advice I have seen is that food grade is not suitable. Definitely get Pharma grade.

I prefer a dedicated e-reader. I have the Kindle touch but if I were buying one now I would get the Kindle paperwhite. My sister has the Paperwhite and it's excellent. The text is clearer and it has a built-in light. The only downside to the Paperwhite is that it doesn't have a speaker so you can't use it as an ipod or for audio books.

Sorry if I'm being thick what is stealth vape? Vaping on the sly. Some people can inhale, hold the vapour in their mouth and inhale again. I can't manage that. I'm like a steaming kettle no matter how hard I try. Next time I'm on a plane, I plan on doing a lot of rummaging under my seat and fixing my shoes. I'll be so stooped by the time the plane lands my back will lock and I won't be able to stand up.

Welcome Rich. Like you, I was on 2/3 packs of Marlboro (Reds) and haven't smoked since I switched to vaping 4 months ago. All credit to the excellent advice I got from members of this forum who guided me to the setup that was right for me.
Get yourself a 1000 mah Ego Twist and a Mini Nova. The Twist is not much bigger than a fountain pen. Holding it in my hand, I can completely cover the battery with the Mini Nova being the only part visible to others. I don't think the mini nova will hold enough juice for a full day's vaping. You could have a small bottle of juice for refills or maybe carry a few cartomisers as back-up.

At last there will be some proper research. Thanks, Glugger, for letting us know. I couldn't find anywhere to donate on the link you posted but found a link for donating on ECF. IMO it's in all our interests to contribute a few bob to this.

I don't buy from the classifieds or partake in the group buys because they are usually restricted to UK only. If I were buying it wouldn't occur to me to check a member's post count and until I read Mary's thread, I thought reviews were only for authorised vendors. When I read Mary's thread I looked for her negative review and it took me ages to find it. Maybe it would be helpful if there were a sticky in the classifieds section recommending that members check reviews and posting history before making payment. The sticky could include a link to the reviews.
Oops! Feel a bit stupid now cos just had a look and there's a buyer beware warning on Classifieds board and a Feedback sub-board. Next time I'll look twice before putting in my tuppence worth. Sorry Mods.

You're right Bluefish. Anyway, most of the smokers I know are so strapped for cash with the high cost of cigarettes that they couldn't afford mods and the stuff that goes with them. Even if they could afford it they wouldn't be inclined to splash out on yet another miracle cure for smoking until they're convinced it works. I do tell them to watch the batteries but I'm not so sure that they pay much heed to me.

I'd say neither, both can go wrong I'm changeing my mind on this and gonna say that mod batteries charged in a charger are a safer option than the usb type of charger. there does seem to be a few cases of these going wrong, but from my own experiance both types have been 100% reliable, so far. Thank, Bluefish, for letting me know. In the few months I have been using ecigs I have only ever used Joyetech without a problem apart from one occasion when the battery and plug felt warm. I unplugged them for a while and there was no recurrence. I'm not so concerned for myself because I read the forum and take note of advice and warnings. I'm more concerned about the people I recommend to switch from smoking. I prefer to point them down the safest path to vaping because most people don't have the time or interest to read the forums or research on the internet. Would it be best to get a good mod, top of the range charger, AW batteries and one of those bags suggested by Ash? I've never heard of an RCD Safety adaptor (Genguskhan's post). Maybe I should check it out.

Ah, Sue, that explains it. I was wondering whether there was a new treatment that I hadn't heard of. Zovirax has been a life saver for me. I always have an unopened tube at the ready. Nothing worked for me until it became available. Some remedies (dabbing with alcohol, covering with bonjela type stuff, etc. even made it worse.
