No, they dont do Paypal, they are safe though. You are not actually giving the seller any money until the goods have been received. Aliexpress dont release the money until you have confirmed receipt of the goods. Thanks robby. I know a lot of you guys have bought a lot of stuff from Aliexpress, so I'm gonna go for it!

Thanks for that! Does Aliexpress take PayPal? Cab't find it as an option and I'm a bit wary of giving out cc numbers.

I bought a mini protank 3 clone from FT and I also have 2 genuine ones, no difference apart from the laser etched logo. MP Thanks MP, I take it clones have got better over the past year or two then? I remember cloned Vivi Novas that gurgled and spat and leaked all over the place so I'm still a bit wary of non-authentic kit.

I have messaged them suggesting they get the spare coils listed quickly so that people can order at the same time Brilliant, thanks robby! Ordered already, silver one w/tank, couldn't resist. I knew coming back here was going to be bad for my bank account icon_shoppingm But I'm down to an MVP with a missing fire button and a couple of Aros - SS Vamo disappeared last Christmas and the black chrome one keeps coming apart so has been retired, cheap ego batts seem to last 5 minutes before they refuse to hold a charge, evods are ok but I miss the vv/vw so new kit was in order. I'm down to my last 100ml of nic as well, so will be ordering more in the new year. I love this forum!

The GS16S atomiser has been added as an option for £3-50 Great little set up [/div][/quote] I really want to order one of these, with the tank - anyone know where I can get replacement heads for it? Would prefer BCC cos I like to coil my own.

My 2 iSticks from GearBest are on their way, got shipping confirmation this morning - ordered on Friday evening, shipped today. Not a bad turnaround at all. 12-25 business days to "normal country", whatever that means! Now the wait begins...

That I did. And now I'm hankering for a purple/blue Smart-20 with a purple tank and a purple/blue drip tip. Oh my Lord. I'd forgotten what fun vape shopping is!

Oooh that looks excellent! Things have certainly moved on from Vamos and Vivi Novas. I shall add those onto my wish list (and fingers crossed they fit the clones I've just bought).

Thanks for that aliscampbell, looks like a good deal. I went for the Protank 2 clones for now as they come in colours to go with the iStick, but I think I'll be ordering more from FT in the new year (gotta have back ups!) and these are on my wish list. Let us know how you get on with it!

Sorry robby, I wasn't clear - I'm sure Fasttech's iSticks are legit, it was the Smart-20 I meant. Smart-20s are about £3 cheaper than GearBest's iSticks, but Fasttech's iSticks are slightly more expensive (by a whole 66p iirc). I'm gonna go ahead and order a couple of the Protank 2 clones, a plastic one and a glass one and see what they're like when they arrive. A bunch of other useful bits & bobs. Hopefully they'll arrive at roughly the same time as the iSticks from GearBest. I'll report back here when they do arrive actually, as I seem to be the only one buying from them and there's no info on how good GearBest are yet. 3 Protank clones (2 plastic, 1 glass), 10 heads, 100 pre-coiled wicks, 3 drip tips and a 900mAh Evod = just over £25 delivered. Went for the Singapore Post (free) option as it seemed fastest. Estimated despatch date 16/12/14, 6-20 days transit time. I'll expect it to be later than sooner due to the Christmas rush, but £65 for 2 iSticks and a bunch of things to put on them is worth the wait imo...

Hi Robby, I ordered two of these last night. A bit dearer than the ones on Fasttech but I'm hoping the £3 difference just means they're authentic. I'm upgrading from an MVP and Aro (glass Evod type thing) and want to get something new to put on the iStick. I see Fasttech are doing Protank 2 clones for £2.89 here, or £4.59 here. Anybody know if either of these are any good, or if I should wait for them to get the authentic ones back in stock? Can't find any discussion about them on here, but that might be cos I've not gone back far enough - it's been a long time since I bought new kit!

Thanks to all for your responses. If anyone's interested (and for posterity) the rebuttal is here: tobaccoanalysis.blogspot.ca/2013/04/metals-in-electronic-cigarette-vapor.htmlIn essence, the amounts of "harmful" substances found in the vapour from these cartomisers is a very small percentage of the USP standards for the maximum allowable daily exposures for each of these metals from inhalation medicines. Lead, for example, at 200 puffs a day, would measure a total of 0.34 microgrammes, which is just under 7% of the maximum allowable exposure of 5.0 microgrammes. I rarely use cartomisers anyway (I find VNs better tasting, better value for money and easier to use), but am no longer at all concerned about using them.

I had a tickly, irritating little cough for a while after I quit smoking and started vaping. It wasn't like the morning cough I had when I was still smoking, which was deeper, more like an itchy throat. I still get it every once in a while, usually in the late evening. I think it's to do with not drinking enough water, the PG is dehydrating my throat and I get the tickly throat. Try upping your liquid intake and see how you go. But if you're worried, go see your doc.

There should be no adverse health consequences from inert materials used as wick - however, the same cannot be said of cotton or paper wicks, where a lack of juice can and will cause immediate and unfortunate consequences as the substrate chars and burns. I was wondering whether I should switch to using cotton wicks to avoid any chance of getting silicosis. This has put me right back to square one. How would the immediate and unfortunate consequences manifest themselves? Cough and breathlessness, as far as I can tell. That's after a good few years' exposure to silica dust. Personally, I think vaping is very unlikely to cause silicosis, unless the vaper is constantly vaping a dry wick (yuck). And even then I don't think the mechanism of vaping is going to lead to inhaling dust particles in any quantity. A fragment of wick in your juice is really just going to stay in the tank/carto (because it won't be wicked through the wick to reach the atomiser). I don't think getting a lungful of burnt cotton or bamboo every once in a while is going to cause anything more than a nasty taste in the mouth and a bout of coughing, either. Unless it happens several times a day. And even then it's still got to be several million times better than inhaling burnt leaves a couple of hundred times a day. There was one report (perhaps someone has a link to it?) that was used by the anti-ecig brigade to "prove" ecigs were harmful, as it found "measurable" levels of certain chemicals in exhaled vapour. Nasty things like acetone and formaldehyde. However, the actual concentrations of those chemicals were not only far far less than allowable amounts, they were also less than the amounts found in the exhaled breath of a non-smoking, non-vaping person. So, in effect, vaping is less harmful (for certain chemicals, anyway) than breathing fresh air... Edit: link to study and link to a blog about it It's a study on second-hand vapour, but should help.
