Had a field day with putting this thing together the milling went perfect but then came those dreaded tactile switches. I first tried to superglue them in place but that wasn't strong enough so I got to a liquid 2 compound epoxy. Sad thing about that was that because of "lack of practice with this stuff" I ****** up 4 (I did a retry after the first one) switches. (the actuators themselves got epoxy in them rendering them useless after 5 minutes) I still had some other switches but those were not great for building in an aluminum mod with 2mm walls as the actuator only protruded less than a mm. So I went back to my trusty solid epoxy which filled the hole between the switches and the body. Ugly like hell but it works I moved the 510 connector up a bit by putting 3 spacers around it to make some more room needed in that darn little box! Wiring the dna20 is also somewhat of a challenge. Not the soldering itself but all those damn connection you end up with a tiny box mod with 20 miles of wire in it But in the end I got a working, small, powerful dna20 mod and box it rocks. You like the evic, you want a dna20 You like the vamo, you want a dna20 You like something else, you want a dna20 I'm really amazed about what this thing puts out. Used it side by side with my other mods (vamo, evic, gripper, mechs,...) and the flavor is so much different than those. The only thing I didn't imagine is the lack of functions on this board... You can choose left or right screen mode, lock it and put it in stealth mode, that's it so no fancy thingies what so ever.

Chrisjw!
I've read about so many people having this issue with the v1 head.
It's been happening so frequently that thet made a v2 head that has a few screws in the dripwell to hold the thing together.
You can either glue it back together or exchange it under warranty? I had mine returned after the threading of the connector went bad and with a small letter exlaining what happened and a few links to posts where otherd had the same issues I reciewed a new evic head free of charge

For every mod (and every vibrator!) , positive end goes up, negative end goes where the spring is. Ermmmm ... new question ... What's a vibrator? That would be one of these but "automated"

That is a looong vid testdruif (I rarely watch reviews, guess I shoulda before I got the thing, just as well he didn't hate it ) It did help a lot thank you, even though he did everything so fast! I'm guessing it is like a new phone, once I get the hang of it, I should be able to do it like a pro Just one last question, when putting the battery in, do I put the positive end in first or the negative? (So I'm a woman, get over it!) Realised I had no idea when he mentioned reverse battery protection, glad it is there, but why test it ? For every mod (and every vibrator!) , positive end goes up, negative end goes where the spring is.

You really love wood don't you Perpetua... I do Gaz . . . although sadly I don't have a single wood Mod, if the Maple Provari's were for sale I'd be very tempted to buy one. I just love seeing the natural graining and how the patina develops over time. Odd I know. How about one of these?

The DNA20 is a new board (very small) that can go up to 20 watts Other than that (maybe durability or gold plated gnomes in the circuits) and that it's very precise in delivering its current there isn't much difference with other mods I recon.

Then I really wonder what they put into those usb only passthrough thingies as they only operate via usb (computer or charger) and work just fine A commercial USB PT charges the battery at about 5v and 420mah and you draw power from the battery as normal. They are not true PT's though, more like a trickle charger. If you chain vaped constantly for about 20 hours you could deplete the battery and would then have to wait for it to charge. I was referring to these: www.vapingthings.com/510_MINI_USB_PASSTHROUGH,_CHROME_OR_MATT_BLACK/p1311952_7048616.aspx
