Hi Snout
You could try leaving it in some uncooked rice facing downwards in a warm place then see if that helps(rice absorbs moisture)

I always use 2 mm eko and .2 kanthal and works everytime im not an impatient SoB and do it properly. However i have some 2 mm silica and just to use it up i wicked with 2 mm silica and usual kanthal, but i put 2 strips of the 2 mm silica on top as flavour wicks and unfortunately its worked out really well (unfortunately because the straightforward 2 mm eko and .2 kanthal was perfect for me and now i have a dilemma of what to do now . So many different right ways of doing it , its whatever works best for you Rosco

I got curious and bought some RY4 , i was really disappointed.
It was nt that i did nt like it (that would have been ok) no it was because it just had no impact at all, just seemed bland, slightly scented/perfumeish and it all stopped there.

Well thank you for clearing that up. On a preference note I didn't like the design of the V3 at first but it grows on you once you have it and I'm quite fond of it now. Also I love the fact you can fit all the attys with a bigger collar on in without an adapter. In fairness its had a pretty shoddy time of it publicity wise. Ok i could nt get into the looks but theres plenty like you that like it....marmite pops to mind

Hi spike
v1 was obviously the original which is recognisable as it has rubber buttons (otherwise looks pretty much the same as the v2
v2 upgraded to chrome buttons and introduction of the ss and upgraded internals
v3 upgraded pcb board , better screen lousy body design
v4 introduced very quickly as v3 got a lousy press for its lpretty much the v3 internals and screen with the v2 design(and somewhere around this time the screw cap was added
v5/v4 upgrade is very much where the confusion lies(is there even a v5 ???) as somewhere the screw of cap came into play and some describe this as the v5 and others say its the v4 upgrade....who knows as anyone and there dog seems to build vamo
The vamos problem is so many manufacturers put out there "vamo" and all apparently legitimate(must be in the licensing) heres a few manufacturers to see the problem Lifeking Technology Co., Ltd. Shenzhen City Shenzhen Lesiman Technology Co., Ltd. Shenzhen Tobeco Technology Co., Ltd. Shenzhen Kelo Technology Co., Ltd. Shenzhen KYX Technology Co., Ltd. Shenzhen RainbowHeaven Technology Co., Ltd.
I dont think anyone would dispute the v4 upgrade as being technically the best one yet but in terms of which is going to end up as a classic,I can t see past the v2

The v2 cap is a press fit and a fairly easy job replacing the head(I put the head barry linked to on my v2 a couple of weeks back. So yes easier with the new model but no real biggie removing the press fit on the v2(plus saves money if the budget is tight) Oh no way - seriously? You just made my decision easier - many thanks for that! Seen a few people say they struggle with getting the head of barry But wrapping the vamo body inside a cloth to protect it,drop it into a piece of old piping that has snug fit(has a tendency to pull apart at the middle section press fit if you try to use the vamo body for leverage hence the piping) then it soon wiggles off with mole grips(if your replacing knackered threads then damaging the old head is nt an issue......or if you have a vice then jobs done two solder joints later the new head just taps onto the body with a rubber mallet whilst protecting the new head with a cloth

Rosco means the outer ring of on the atomiser screw in part of the vamo unwinds (if you look closely at the picture in the link you can see a photo of the top cap removed showing thread only on the vamo cheers It's not just the outer ring. The whole top cap comes off, which is a life-saver if you strip the threads by which your atty attaches. Here are the replacements: www.stealthvape.co.uk/vamo-top-capThis is why I'm still undecided between the nicer-looking v2, or the possibly longer-lived but ugly v3. I wish FastTech would get one of the newer versions that have gone back to the v2-style body but (I think??) retained the replaceable top cap. I was maybe unclear The v2 cap is a press fit and a fairly easy job replacing the head(I put the head barry linked to on my v2 a couple of weeks back. So yes easier with the new model but no real biggie removing the press fit on the v2(plus saves money if the budget is tight) As an aside...why they dont just sort out the threading on the vamo i dont know

Hi Rosco I came across a post last week on another forum that might interest you. Someone was using a dual coil on a protank two seperate coils coming up from the neg on either side, twisted together round the wick and meeting in the middle then dropped down the centre pos pin I meant to go back and check it out as i cant figure how hes avoiding shorts with this setup and id like to try it out(Ill try finding the link tomorrow and post it but i dont hold much hope as im damned if i remember where i read it. I would give that a go. Thanks richo. Sent from my Galaxy Note 2 Still no joy finding the post but ill keep looking on and off and find it. Thing is the guy claimed to have removed the rubber grommet completely and as i just quickly read it ive no idea how he avoided shorting the wires or avoid leaks(but what an advantage being able to ditch the grommet .......or was it a windup ???

I really dont think its a biggy kibbster and your letter covers the points very very well (mind if i borrow the outline points to send to my MP(just the points not the letter proper? ) Of course as long as it doesn't look like the same letter rewritten, especially if sending it to another Tory MP... in case they compare letters Heyy they do it to us (send out a stock letter to thousands) No it really is just the outline points as they are all nicely updated and in order in your letter Thanks

Excellent letter kibbster Im wondering though; where you state nicotine content of 75 mg 72 mg 24 mg etc , is it worth in brackets putting the percentage figure in? Just thinking it might be a way to emphasise to your mp that 72 mg really is only 7.2 % of total liquid? Not really sure myself it helps just chucking it into the pot of thought True I possibly should have but I thought it was already getting to nerdy I should really have just put the percentages in without the mg per ml figures really I really dont think its a biggy kibbster and your letter covers the points very very well (mind if i borrow the outline points to send to my MP(just the points not the letter proper? )
