Oh dear I'm a little concerned about the stuff I have in storage now  I'll echo what stu1873 has said jtc . . . . this particular VG base I have used without issue in the past and I've plenty in stock to compare it to, not that I am suggesting Stu is at fault nor the Vendor - although no one is infallible. I'll take some side by side pictures when I receive the sample, then go from there. Sorry but you can't work out the MG strength of any DIY nicotine base from side by side visual comparison You can get an idea from a head to head vape test but only if one has a far higher MG content. Pure VG + pure nicotine has a well deserved reputation for spelling disaster the most infamous example was Box elder back in 2011.  |

In the past I did some work on a re breather mod/device that would remove all visible vapour--then dropped the idea as no bugger would buy it. |

The link suggests For 1000 grams 660 grams menthol crystals 340 grams PG So, about 1 third PG and two thirds Menthol, by weight. You can't dissolve that precent /weight of menthol crystals in PG ------ Solubility in Propylene Glycol is up to 50% |

Notes on menthol crystals-- When making a concentrate from Menthol crystals 1 Don't forget to wash your hands after handling menthol crystals as rubbing your eyes = aaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrfffffffffuuuuuuuaaaaaarrrr 2 Menthol crystals dissolve well in PG -- But won't dissolve in pure VG - They will in warm VG but will soon re-crystalliz when liquid is cooled |

Since we're on the subject of detailing, anyone know how to shift algae? Where I park my car gets full sun all day in the summer but come the autumn, one side is in the shade after 3-4pm. Result, with the damp, one side of the car goes progressively green. Regular washing is only partly effective and algae stinks of cat pee when wet Any ideas? warm water + oxy vanish along with a soft nail brush for detailing |

Take heart that soon it won't be available at all, and £40/L is still a great price. Personally, my brother and I have just bought 5L from EL at about £38/L, because we know it's source; whereas DS don't say who makes their nic in the US. Everything Liquid's website states Manufactured at a WHO GMP licensed and US FDA approved pharmaceutical production plant based in Switzerland
Darkstar says We source the highest quality pharmaceutical grade product from the United States
Not much difference between these two statements, unless I'm missing something.
Currently 1 litre Everything Liquid PG nic is £43.99, whereas in VG it is priced at £59.99 compared with Darkstar's £30.99
It has been a week and as no-one else has answered - i will In my personal experience the shipping restrictions,shipping costs and sale price would make one of these statements a ****** Load of ***** |

I should imagine if this is the case we will probably start seeing known and trusted vendors on eBay. It's certainly a place to be careful buying from though  ebay = if two or more items listed appear to be identical then only the cheapest sells = price war or no sales |

If like another cheap (popular) vendor, I strongly suspect that he probably doesn't have the info, rather than being unwilling to share it  If that's the case, he didn't think to request the information for his own benefit and confidence.  There's much I don't understand! Anyone spending many thousands in a single order is going to have the information before the purchase. At the very least they will be in the position to get it with a single phone call or e-mail Not wishing to share it is also a cop out -- it takes no time to cover sensitive information before scanning. |

As it is from the USA = A very good chance it will have the antioxidant Ascorbic acid (vitamin C) in a 0.01% or lower concentration added This helps prevent/stop it from smelling and can help slow the colour change in VG nicotine base but does nothing to prevent the colour change in PG Your best to make a batch and see if it tastes OK -- OK = not to peppery for your taste. Please note: Don't all rush to add Ascorbic acid (vitamin C) to your nicotine base as it is an antioxidant that can /will extend your steeping time and turns PG nicotine darker. |
