x I don't know what Nic Base is used for other than Vaping, but it obviously has other uses, judging by the amount of it that is on the market. No other use for Nic Base DIY nicotine base = flooded price driven market that in most cases generates repeat customers every 1-10 years. in the past DIY nicotine base supported a number of one man businesses that are/have being forced to shut up shop due to very aggressive pricing/lose leader

Hi I have a bit of infection and was told to put some menthol crystals in a bowl of boiling hot water and inhale to help remove mucus on chest I was hoping some one could recommend a strong menthol e juice I could vape and hope this would do the same thing ????? Thanks. if you have the menthol crystals to hand you could Pop the top /drip tip off any bottle of cheap not to your taste e-liquid then add a single smallish menthol crystal replace top/cap and warm bottle in a cup of hot water till the menthol crystal dissolves Result is 1 x bottle of supper strong menthol e-liquid that will blow your head off . Recommend you recheck as off the top of my head this looks way out* --- would expect around 2 months from 50ml of 72mg @ 20ml per day of 3mg finished -- *if true 1000ml would last you 32 years!!!!!!! I can't see how 1litre of nic would last 32 years tbh To give these result the calculator most be wrong or the input must be wrong - At this point in time the calculator is asking for the wrong input in some boxes ( mg instead of %) = calculator is wrong What Strength do you currently vape at? %---- 0.3 How much ejuice do you consume in a day? in ml--- 20 What Strength of nicotine are you buying? in mg ----72 What Size bottle are you buying? in ml------50 Calculate This is how many Years one bottle will last you: 1.64 This is how many Days one bottle will last you: 600 At this point in time to get the right results the % in the "What Strength do you currently vape at % ?" box needs to be changed to mg or the "What Strength of nicotine are you buying? in mg "needs to be changed to "What Strength of nicotine are you buying? in %

So after a hard read I think ive got this right i aim for 3mg nic in my juice which is 0.3% by volume using around 20ml total each day of juice off the calc it says 1 50ml bottle will last around 1.6 years (roughly). Is this correct? Also ive read a lot about storing nic in the freezer kinda a horrifying thought TBH but.... What do you do put unopened nic bottles into tupperware box lid on etc and just bang it in a corner of the chest freezer.( I have a vision of a box wrapped in cling film covered in tin foil ) Recommend you recheck as off the top of my head this looks way out* --- would expect around 2 months from 50ml of 72mg @ 20ml per day of 3mg finished -- *if true 1000ml would last you 32 years!!!!!!!

I am going to give the ecigs another go, so have been reading up all about the restrictions coming in about the sale of 72mg nic. I bought a litre about 2 years ago from the states. It is still in its plastic bottle in the box it arrived in. Should this be disposed of, or will it still be safe to use? In most cases It should be perfectly safe to use however after 2 years unless stored in a fridge or freezer it is likely to have developed a peppery taste and depending on your finish e-liquid nicotine mg strength this might start to overpower your finished mix To test DIY nicotine base that has been stood up for an extended period of time first shake bottle next remove the cap and let it stand/breath for a short time then smell/sniff it. Nicotine base stored at room temp will develop far more smell and will be a darker colour than if it was stored for the same time in a fridge or freezer, this increase in smell and colour does not mean it will be in any way unfit - on the other hand if it smells rank or gives off a very overpowering unpleasant chemical stench then bin it. I strongly recommend that before you use/open the bottle you give it a good shaking as some USA nicotine VG base has no added water this lack of water makes it very possible for the nicotine part of the liquid to float to the top of the VG (hot spot/ top of the bottle ends up with a very very high nicotine content)

Crazy Well it might be worth a few thousand in a few years so sit on it and you never know Taxation of "nicotine containing liquids" is the next logical step along the path, it might take 1 year it might take 3 years but taxation will happen at some future date after May 2017. ,

In theory you have till May 2017 to purchase/stock up ----however the chances are many items/liquids will sell out well before the cut off date. concentrates won't be affected

Nicotine loves to react with oxygen = changes colour and starts to smell Most of the pure nicotine ( 1000mg) used for e-liquid base is supplied by the producers in 1lt HDPE plastic bottles ---this pure nicotine in plastic bottles comes with a five year best before date ( when stored below 20C and bottle head space filled with an inert gas)* see photos DIY Nicotine base does not expand in the freezer you can/should fill your bottles to the very brim and or squeeze HDPE bottles to eliminate as much head space as is possible. Any bottle head space will contain 20% Oxygen gas Top Tip When filling any bottles use the right gloves ( nitrile gloves) Don't be tempted to use Disposable Clear Polythene Food Handling Gloves as even the smallest spill makes these type of gloves incredibly slippy = you will drop your bottles.

I have just had my Hangsen delivery from cigeliquid Toffee / Butterscotch & Black Cherry, the lick test is a little disappointing on the Toffee as the Butterscotch seems really strong but the Toffee not so much so I'll see how it mixes up, looking forward to it having seen so many reviews. Hangsen Black Cherry was one of my very first liquids that I vaped and I loved it and haven't found anything remotely close since so really looking forward to testing that one. All other black cherries have been like vaping nail varnish to me despite hours of breathing & steeping. Any ideas of mixing percentages for the ones I've got cigeliquid save me running round the interweb ? Thanks The % of flavouring will largely depend on your tastes and you will struggle to find many/any review /recipes as people tend to be a little shy when it come to openly admitting using or liking Hangsen. With the Black Cherry you are best to start off at a low 5% and work up as with most other cherry flavours to much can result in a soapy flavour.

Yes cheers They only sell small bottles and it's quite pricey. Zainy in China do some in bulk but I don't want to spend that much I sell Hangsen Toffee at less per ml than zaniy I have converted my price from £ to $ in order to compare the smallest size order of concentrates you could place with them "100ml" against my delivered price for the same 100ml of factory sealed Hangsen toffee in 5x 20ml bottles me = 5 x 20ml = $26.59 zaniy= 10 x 10ml = $32.70 The other advantages I can offer as a UK seller is i have it in stock + I am willing to sell you just 1 bottle rather than 10 and would be in the post same day if ordered by 3pm plus the chances are it would be delivered next day Yes I am aware that if you wished to purchase 300ml or 500ml then Zaniy would work out cheaper per ml.

I'm very interested as to how the prices for concentrates is going to develop too especially as sydsut said it will be the survival for many companies. Do you think one shots are going to leap up in price or will they stay around £8-10 for 30ml? Unless a business can prevent recipes from being cloned then the price of one shot/ concentrates will follow the price trend that can be clearly seen over the last few years in nicotine base. It is very likely due to over supply/chasing more and more market share in order to pay ware house staff wages that the price of flavourings will also drop like a stone. The DIY market is very small and mainly driven by forum members many of whom are very dedicated to searching out and publishing the cheapest price/ how to clone a flavouring. This constant search for clone recipes/ cheapest is best attitude will eventually drive out all the smaller players who hope to remain in the game by selling concentrates after TPD In many cases a single e-liquid flavour represents weeks or even months of development and for a small/micro company it is also their post TPD livelihood.

For the best results You should be aiming to finish off any bottle of nicotine base that is in day to day use within 6 months - but this will depend on how you store it /how hot your house is if just left on a shelf. This means large bottles of nicotine base (250ml an above) should be split down to 1x 50ml/100ml bottle that is used for day to day mixing - keep in a cool spot or fridge the remaining part of the batch/bottle is best off stored in a freezer. The smell and the taste are the things to watch out for if you are getting an over powering peppery taste* interfering with your enjoyment or just find the smell** is overpowering even when mixed down to your finished strength then it is time to bin your remaining nicotine and start on a fresh bottle. * Some enjoy the peppery taste!!!!!!!!!!!!! ** The normal range for fit to use nicotine base is from a nice nutty /earthy smell to a slight chemical smell ----But not overpowering or rank Colour change over time is normal - VG will change colour far faster than PG. Thanks for that......is it ok to keep freezing/defrosting the same bottle thats in use? The aim is to keep the size of the bottle that is in use down to a size that does not require freezing and defrosting looking at your bottle i would assume it was a 250ml bottle and over the last 8 months you have used around 50ml In an ideal world based on your usage you should have decanted 50ml or less into a small bottle then squeezed out as much air/head room from the 250ml plastic bottle and stuck that bottle in the freezer. Picking the right size bottle for your day to day usage over a 3-6month period avoids fresh air (20% Oxygen) entering your larger than required bottle each time the top is remover If you live in a hot house then keeping the small day to day bottle of nicotine base in a fridge or cool place is a good idea. You should never keep any of your day to day liquids in the freezer - it makes VG to thick to handle with ease - who want to wait till liquids have warmed up every time before mixing + condensation onto liquid surface if lid is removed to speed up temp rise.
