Hi clivealive1I started vaping very recently and started out with a vv3 and mvp2. I like them both and they are still used but I wanted to get something that I could have a battery ready & charged when the device got low. Also I figured one day both my devices would reach their recharge cycle limit (hopfully not for a long time - don't know what the limit is!) and they would sadly have to be consigned to recycling. So I've just bought a VTR - I love it I bought it from myepack with their efest 18650s (2000mAh I think) and they last quite awhile - usually about 2 days. Sorry - I don't know about the Panasonics - though I was considering those too so will be interested to see what more experienced people have to say. The VTR is a quality piece of kit with only 2 minor cons (as you obviously know already) - the weight and the limits of which tanks can be used in the ring. The weight is not an issue when using it, only possibly when carrying it about. I don't notice it winter weather clothes - it sits in my heavy jacket and I don't notice it. Not sure about summer though - tee shirt and shorts (yes I'm being optimistic here!) - may be too heavy then??? Hmmm. I did spend awhile looking at tanks that fit/don't fit. Initially was looking at any interesting tanks on fastech as they always have dimensions - the diameter must be no greater than 19mm. I found a link to a google doc which listed ones that can be used - I will have a look to see if I can find it again and post a link. My research on this waned after awhile as I am actually happy with the iclear 30s that comes with the VTR. One thing I don't understand is: using the same juice in the same tank at the same wattage - the vtr gives me a better vape than on the mvp or the vv3. Mind you "better" is so fluffy - it may be that I like the new VTR it's all just psychological lol... You mentioned that your MVP isn't holding charge like it used to - how long have you been using it? Right - will try and find that link

Thanks for the link enjay ... hmmm - am really tempted .... handy to get the magnets too .... aaargh! Will sleep on it and Buy think tomorrow (I get confused re the hcigar vs other clone versions). Its marginally cheaper at www.ltecigs.larsentilbrook.co.uk/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=1351 but doesn't have the magnets (I def want those) - also too tired to check their p&p for comparison. Have you pushed the "buy it now" button already? Happy Shopping! Night for now

Hi enjay - where are you planning to get your nemesis clone from? I am on a similar quest - but my head is buzzing after visiting too many chinese sites After I get the nemmy then there is the hunt for the right tank at the right price from the right place lol.... Then that will absolutely be it - surely I can settle down for a quiet vape .... didn't think shineyitis would get me! Are you going for a UK or other supplier?

teethcv - I have found vapersemporium to be very good too. Lots of communication with the order etc - all good. The classikool pricing does seem very good though.... andy01424 - I thought the boots stuff was VG not PG? - sorry if I've got the wrong end of the stick - I'm a newbie! I have prob misunderstood what I've read elsewhere on the forum

Thanks folks - will just freeze the nic then. Roscopecotrain - you made me laugh out loud - I immediately conjured up an image of a huge punch bowl in your front room that you just emptied your new conc bottles into Meanwhile will soak myself in Joose Juice Raspberry to keep me safe froms zombies....

Hi All I will shortly be taking baby steps into the wild and wonderful world of DIY juices Nowt fancy to begin with - just making stuff up from concentrates - but exciting for me nevertheless! TBH I prob wouldn't have thought of doing this so early in my vaping journey, but the upcoming new legislation has put the wind up me! Don't know the details but I just don't trust 'em not to go mad and go further than EU stipulations. I'm preparing for the worst (that prob won't happen) and aiming to be as self-sufficient (relatively) for as long as possible... there's also the Zombie Apocalypse to worry about Anyway - back to the original point! I have read that PG base nic can be stored almost indefinitely if put in dark glass bottles and popped in the freezer. Hope that's true? What about the rest of the "Mix"? How would you store PG and VG long term? - same as PG base nic? Freezer? Glass or plastic bottles? Come to think about it - what about long term storage of concentrates - and "ready made" . Bottom line is I don't know how far I can go before I risk wasting stuff. What has been your experience and how far ahead are you planning for your seige cupboard? Cheers

Welcome mel - well done on being brave - it's hard enough at the best of times let alone where you are now with what life is throwing at you. Really sorry about your Mum - know how that is - Big Hug. Don't put too much pressure on yourself about the cigs; on the other hand some part of you obviously wants to tackle them now - just be gentle on yourself! As many have said here - every one you don't smoke is a win Good move on shifting up to 24mg. I was advised to do that too and it really helped. I am a fellow newbie - only started about 6 weeks ago; struggled with 12mg but the jump to 24mg made everything much easier. What really, really, really helped was all the folks here - you couldn't ask for a more supportive, friendly and well-informed bunch. Talk about having backup - wowser! Wish you all the best on your journey - and good luck with your upcoming operation. Hang in there

Sorry - forgot to mention that it has not received heavy use - use my MVP mainly; so I guess the pen top had been out of the house (only time I use it) a dozen times or so..

Hi smifeeI bought the pen top version from love-vaping: love-vaping.com/35-itaste-vvvw-10s-kit about 5 weeks ago The vw battery is great - but the pen top itself became unusable about 3 days ago Took it out to use walking across a car park - went to put the top back on a minute later - no "click-on" anymore. I imagine some widget fell out of the top somewhere - couldn't find anything lying about on the ground.... The vv/vw 3.0 battery is great - but don't know if I was just unlucky with the top or they simply don't last!
