So, Khromm and I are in our local Sainsbury's at the pharmacy and we spot some e-cigz on full display on the counter.
Well, we had a look at the prices and were shocked by how expensive they were and started to have a chuckle. The woman behind the counter asked why we were laughing and so we showed her ours.
We proceeded to explain the differences between hers and ours, even explaining about differing batteries. LOL
She even let us both have a puff after, and was impressed with our vapour generation - and in the shop too!!
Only concern is that at those prices, they were almost as expensive as tabs, which would send out the wrong message and put off potential vapers benefitting from what we currently do.
On a positive note, it's good to see products like these getting marketed as the healthier alternative, right there on every box.

Would it an idea to have a stickied thread where all newbies could post to say 'Hi' in, it may be useful for new joiners to be able to reference one post as well? Don't know what everyone else thinks - good idea or bad?

Made me chuckle, but I don't like the idea of me being owned by Wrigleys. LOL Edit: Further to the above, Lee has gotten in contact with me. Thanks guys.

What is the freezing point of PG/VG? That might help us determine just hold cold we can go before worrying? Edit with PG: Melting point is -59 Celsius, so we should be OK there...

The username 'Lee' does not exist. Perhaps he uses Lee as the nickname rather than his account name. Any ideas guys?

So, perhaps I need an avatar for the forum - what do you all think?
And I was wondering if there was anyone talented enough to create caricature of one of my photos?

Welcome Wendy - and congrats on avoiding the tabs for a whole day!
Jason's advice is all good - only thing I might add to that (something for later perhaps) is to get a 'Griz Whizz' or equivalent - do the condom fill, spin in the whizz to settle the juice, top up as Jason advised, leave to 'soak' etc. I find that gets the juice exactly where it needs to be.

Something to be aware of (although not something you want to worry about right now) is the availability of rebuildable atomisers in varying shape and form - just add wire and wick.
They are a costly outlay at first, but may prove to be a worthwhile long term investment.

Welcome to possibly the most friendly and helpful e-cig forum there is (other forums are available...)

We all start that way JJ - so don't get too down about it. Just take it steady and you'll be fine. As Des states, carto's are by far the best for beginners as they allow for simpler filling and better flavour/vape. I would also recommend getting a drip tip (510) to go with a carto, remembering to remove the plug in the end. Note that metal drip tips get pretty cold in the winter, as I've found out, but you can get Delrin (plastic) ones too. Tips on how to fill carto's can be found on YouTube - just search for the 'condom' method (all will become clear).

Even in the locked position, if the screw is screwed too far in it will still fire. The screw needs to be adjusted before using the lock facility. I agree, and I ensure that the screw only just makes contact when the switch is pushed, meaning that there needs to be full travel on the switch before it fires. Thanks for all the feedback guys. I got my new nylon bung/springs today and have fitted a new one - and the Don is working like a champ now. Chalking one up to experience... blakey - fair enough chap - although I always carry one spare 'just in case'.

Today the forum is fine for me - yesterday, it was sluggish and some pages refused to load. At first I thought it was my connection too, but U.S sites loaded v.quick. Put it down to the web server being over subscribed at that time.
Incidentally, I know there is a ProBoards app for the forum - can Tapatalk be enabled too please?

Cheers perps, That for me means that I'll stay with what I have, that V3 is a bit more faff than I can put up with, you could bet your ass that the carto would give out when I was out for the evening Does not stop you having a filled Carto in your pocket, just in case like I do.
