No problems leo glad I saw this cos I was just about to place an order, I'd have put one on for you anyway, but you caught me in time Q, and I'd have paid you for it... still kind of tempted just to have a spare! lol, but.... must. stop. spending. money! Well, I know it's now after the event, but as we are seemingly into a bit of vape porn here, I thought I would chuck in a picture of my FT Caravela mod in 18350 mode with a FT Russian 91% on top, filled with Red Astaire, of course!!! Oooof! chykensa, now that is what I'm talking about!!!

20+ a day for the last 30 years, 7 weeks straight no fags, only vaping but struggling to find something I like to vape. Now how mad is that? Thanks to the advice from this forum I now have better equipment. Just need to find a comfort e-liquid that I can enjoy everyday but will get there firewall, congrats that's a great achievement!! What kind of flavours have you enjoyed so far?? I've been off the stinkies for 3 months, and have tried 20+ different juices in that time. Joose Juice Caramel Blend, is by far my farourite. It's a caramel/tobacco blend, it is sweet, but not ridiculous, and doestn't burn easily like some sweet liquids. If you are looking for a comfort vape give it a shot (JJ 10ml testers are only £1.49 so I've tried nearly all of 'em!!!) I guess it's all down to personal preference, but try out some of the JJ testers, at that price you can experiment!

Couldn't help myself. After so much great tips and advice from you guys (not to mention decoy's pic!) Nemesis clone (with magnet upgrade) + Volt meter £32 from M-Vapes, order in. Could have saved about £8 ordering from FT, but Matt @ M-Vapes seems like a good guy (answered my annoying email query very fast!) And hopefully this should be with me in a few days, not a few weeks!! So thanks for the offer Q, but I was too impatient!!

I started smoking at age 14, at 18 I started DJing in nightclubs (you could still smoke in clubs back then)... and I would get through a pack in a 2 hour set. I gave up the club life after 18 years, changed job and changed smoking habit to roll-ups (trying to cut down/quit), tried patches, tried gum, nothing helped me quit smoking. Then a friend let me try his e-cig, and that was it for me... never looked back, and haven't smoked in 3 months!! I'm 40 now, and never felt better! lol

that is the good thing about mechs you can norm change thew size of them to the type of batt fiddles, that is a great looking mod, but fookin heck decoy that is some vape porn right there.... I'm in!!! Which Nemesis did you get and where from? EDIT: I think you already told me... the Hcigar right?? If you're definately interested leo I will probably succumb to the credit card again in the next couple of days so I can order you one, no need to send money until it arrives, I trust you. Let me know Cheers Q, your a diamond... how long do your orders from there usually take..?? looking at decoy's pic is making me impatient!!!! Might have to source one in the UK! I will have another butchers at the link you posted tonight, and I'll let you know.

tbh there is no diff till you go low ohm as far a vape go size and looks is a diff matter if i put a nano kit on my kayfun and use it in 360 neni its shorter than my coffee cup and ruddy nice at 1 ohm Thanks decoy, that's as good a reason as any I can think of to give it a go... 360 nemi + nano kayfun sounds good to me!! (Any chance you want to post up a pic?) Nice to have the option to explore the sub-ohm world down the line too! Thanks for all your input. Greatly appreciated. leo The real difference will come when you try a dripper. With a tank type like a KF you are limited to how quickly it can get juice to the wicks, so there comes a point that it cant keep up as the watts get higher. With a dripper you saturate the wicks with juice before vaping. This and the extra airflow is why you can vape at 35+ watts without getting a burnt taste. In fact the flavour is way more intense with this kind of setup.
Batteries can be a confusing subject with different people giving different advice, so Im not going to do that. Protected may be better for you at the start as they will cut off when they get low.
I myself use unprotected and have a pocket voltage checker just to see how long I have left on the battery. The chemistry in unprotected (IMR) batteries is less volatile than protected (ICR)under stress and unlikely to flame-out if things do go badly wrong. In protected batteries you are relying on the built in circuit and hoping it doesn't fail as well as they can produce flames if it goes bad.
Just use appropriate caution and always be aware of how much stress you are putting on your battery in terms of Amps and allow plenty of headroom and you should be fine.
Gotcha, will definitely look into getting a dripper... good info on the battery front too. Cheers hijack

hijack, either my trusty Fogger v4, or I have a KFL+v2 (with the nano kit) on it's way from FT... looking forward to running it in nano mode to keep the size down.. not sure if 2.5ml will get me through a day at work though!! Cheers Oh ok you obviously make your own coils and wicks, as when using a mech you get voltage drop over the coarse of using a battery. So when fresh at 4.2v it will be giving more watts than when it reaches 3.5v. So make the coil so it gets high watts at the start so as it drops it doesn't get too weak eg. A 1.5 coil will give 12 watts on a fresh battery and will drop to 8 watts when the battery reaches 3.5v. So you could make at 1.3 to give a better window to vape through the life of the battery. Sorry if you know this already.
Cheers bud, yes I know the theory, but not the practical as I am yet to buy a mech. What I'm really interested to see will be the difference to the vape that I get from the flat dc signal of a non-kicked mech and what I get from the pwm of my vamo. And.... then the difference that makes to the ohms/wattage that I'm looking to vape at. (Not to mention 'able' to vape at) I'm only guessing here, but I imagine the difference between a mech and a regulated mod will be huge. So basically, bring it on! Can't wait to start my mech-mod journey (once I get some protected batteries of course!!!!!!!) Cheers

Has anyone tried one of the aluminium Nemesis clones from FT? Cheap as chips and the reviews are mostly very positive

I emailed them about the bogof 2 days ago, got the reply (and put my order in) yesterday. Bogof is still running, but no idea if it applies to concentrate. On the site it looks like pre-made juices only.
