What mg level is the juice you're using? Sometimes you need to step it down if you're vaping more. I find I can't take much higher than 6mg. I used to use 18mg but I had too many headaches and felt all spaced out all the time until I realised I was getting too much nicotine. There's a number of causes it could be but stepping down your nicotine content could rule that out. I would not worry too much about stepping down on nic levels as you will not get as much nic from an ecig as you would a cigarette. The headaches may be caused by nic withdrawal rather than to much. I notice that some will tell you to drink more water!! Well all I can say is that I never have and have been vaping one and a half years with no side effects. Maybe you need more nic maybe not but you will only really know by experimentation as we are all different. Good luck anyways.

Awww, thanks guys - reckon it might be the water, definitely need to drink more. Feels a bit better this evening. Was a bit scared by the carto spitting and hissing at me as the Kangar ones are whisper quiet - getting used to it now. No more sneaking my ecig up to bed though, it is no longer a stealth device :-) Have got some clearos but I remember Leftfield saying there's something you need to do to them first so will wait until this carto's ready for the bin and spend some time getting it right. How long do the clearos last, Ken? Thanks. Jo I don't do anything to the clearos Jo and just use them straight out of the box. I generally will get two weeks from one and that's without dry burning or cleaning. Just fill and vape. Some do dry burn and clean however and claim to get months from them. They are cheap to buy so two weeks is good IMO.

Hi Jacci Its quite good the menthol isn't it? I didn't think it would be this tasty, its a lot better than the JP, Sterling and other menthol cigs. And yes it feels good to know that there is no harmful chemicals going into the body or the air. Lol I have my e-cig on my desk just in case I need to vape. Mind you I'm the boss so what I say is law! I cant believe how easy it is, especially this morning when usually I would have had 4 "analogues" before leaving, I think I had 6 inhalations on the e-cig before leaving and just had 2 since arriving. Yes I am topping up with water, in between the coffee, probably be running to the loo every 5mins lol. Just wondering if there is a thread about that we could post in to keep motivated, although the whole forum is doing that, perhaps a thread just to keep us going....... Mods is there one? Yep menthol is good and no nasty chemicals to worry about.

The coughing and spluttering as you put it is quite normal with this type of carto, Boge also do an LR version and boges are about as good as this type of cartomizer gets. I can't comment on the sore throat, maybe you're coming down with a cold or something? Congrats on the 8mg juice though, one day I hope to drop to that level Really!! I never coughed and spluttered with them but just thought they were horrible. Clearos are the way to go for taste, good throat hit and they last a long time.

Is there a difference between an ego and a riva? Just to complicate things further not all "Ego's" have regulated voltage - I think they are the ones that actually have an Ego-T brand marking. Some look exactly the same but actually work like the Riva. I have one of each - both good batteries. I can assure you there is a difference between the Ego and the Riva and that the real Ego is regulated.

Look it up in the dictionary and I think you will find your remarks pretty insulting. > I would have expected a bit more from a mod. thank you for your 'input' Kenny but what i meant is that it wasnt intended as an insult... this is a friendly forum where we dont throw around insults at each other [Glad to hear it.

The 'genuine' Riva will have Riva etched onto the top of the battery. But, it's not what's on the outside that counts, it's the battery inside the casing. I now insist that the batteries for the Riva's I stock come from only one certain factory, because in my experience they have been far more reliable. That's not to say that you never get a problem, but compared with the earlier models the fail rate has been massively reduced. A lot of the Ego VV batteries that area available at the moment are actually made by Joyetech - it just doesn't say it on the box. My own experience has led me to believe that there are now 2-3 manufacturers in China who are at least equal to Joyetech in the quality stakes. So things are improving, even if it is slowly If you forgive me for saying so a Riva marked or not is merely a clone of the Ego and they do have issues.

Paranoid? Nice insult, Gordy. > It's a known fact in the U.S., that the FDA and the alphabet groups, receive funding from BP. There have been studies done that are favorable about e-cigs and they are ignored by the FDA. Anything positive about e-cigs is ignored. paranoia isnt an insult do you know who did the studies or what they were about Jerry ? Look it up in the dictionary and I think you will find your remarks pretty insulting. > I would have expected a bit more from a mod.

This is a tricky one Anne, it's actually against Proboards TOS to block the ads - though I can't stop people using an ad blocker, I can't promote/encourage it either. If I did, Proboards could close the forum down. They have to get their money from somewhere for providing the service. I thought most people used an add blocker nowadays Chrissie. I know I do. That probably explains why I never see adds on your site.

The answer is NO! The flavour of a juice is not affected by the strength of the Nic. I agree with Griz and he should know.

I have really never understood the need to pay to keep adds hidden.
They are not exactly in your face.
Personally I only read what I want and ignore the adds and in fact only noticed them when they were brought to my attention.
