I started purely for health reasons. I'd been rolling my own for a long time so it was already fairly cheap to smoke - cost wasn't a factor. I knew that smoking was killing me and I was 24/25 when I knew I just had to quit because I'd stand up my legs would be so red from lack of circulation and I'd get dizzy just standing for more than two minutes. Any time I had to walk anywhere I'd be horribly out of breath and felt so ill.
A friend of mine introduced me to ecigs and I was a little skeptical but knew it was better than trying to quit smoking cold turkey and better than forking out a fortune for NRT's. It worked a treat and I can safely say I have most of my health back. I'm not exactly a marathon runner but I can do what I need to without almost passing out.

I worked as a barrista for a while, not as my main job, it was more if anyone asked for a coffee we had a machine for it in the restaurant and I was the only one with a knack for it. More like a self trained coffee snob but hokay. It was really rare anyone actually asked for "just a coffee", but we/I did keep instant just for it under the counter and priced it a lot less than a machined one.
I'd know what you meant if you'd come in and asked for just a white coffee (I'd also make what's called an americano because it's the closest you could get with shots), but if you'd only known what's on the board behind you and aren't really a coffee lover then yeah, I can see why you'd be confused.
I'm the opposite to you though, I'd be annoyed if all they had was filter or instant because I love a decent cappuccino and really hate instant or filter.

The xo coffee range from liberty flights was pretty good for me. Espresso was really nice but I didn't really like their capuccino flavour.
The best I ever had was actually from totally wicked for cappuccino flavour. I found out pretty quickly I'm intolerant to pg though so I can't get it anymore. I'm pretty sure it was in their titan range of flavours. If it steeped for too long it would taste sort of like dry corn crisps oddly though so it's one you'll have to vape though without letting it sit so long.
It's pretty easy to DIY yourself some coffee flavours. I made a really tasty capuccino nice biscuit flavour that's in the DIY section on here if you want to try it out.

A driptip does what it says literally. It's a mouthpiece you put on an atomiser instead of the normal mouthpiece so you can drip liquid straight into it rather than take the mouthpiece off every time.
You can also use it on other things if you prefer the shape of a drip tip - I use one on my clearomisers instead of the stock ones.
Nicotine absorption rate for ecigs is as of yet undefined. I've seen nothing substantial saying how much we actually get yet. For cigarettes, it's around 10% absoption rate. Normal cigarettes are 10mg of nicotine give or take and you get 1mg of nicotine from it. That's where the 1mg rating on the packet comes from - it's not 1mg total in the cigarette, it's actually 10.
If you used the same 10% on ecigs, then 8mg liquid is actually less than a normal cigarette already as it would be 0.8mg per ml vaped. As I said though, you can't know exactly how much we absorb so it's just a matter of listening to your body to tell if you have too much or too little.
I only have around 8mg as well, but I have seen others use high ones like 42mg or 32mg which I simply couldn't do but they seem to handle it just fine so there's a really big difference in how we're absorbing nicotine from vaping it seems.

An American friend told me about them over a year ago. I was looking at trying to quit then as well because I knew smoking was near killing me and I'm nowhere near over the hill yet. I spent a good few weeks researching ecigs in general but there was only egos and 510's back then because the old 808's weren't up to much at all still and the teabag mod was about all there was for 510's.
I saw a lot of greensmoke and other overpriced 808's/rn4081 types with their silly "vape anywhere" ads on youtube but knew something was up with that. Costs too much, making too many claims with no facts behind them. I initially went to ECF because I honestly didn't know there was a UK vaping scene and for a few months I thought TW was the only UK vendor lol! I saw one of Chrissie's posts linking to the big suppliers list here and my jaw dropped. Then I wondered why Chrissie always knew who had the cheapest deals on everything, then saw they were the admin for this forum and had to join to get the lowdown on the vaping scene in the UK.
I got a 510 from TW and although it wasn't quite enough, I stopped smoking with it straight away because it was a choice for me to stop and to have anything that gave me hand to mouth motion and the feeling of inhaling something was enough to get me by.
It wasn't too long until I started getting in bigger batteries and lots of different ecigs and parts for them. I'm now settled on CE2's and the lavatube and the blinged out itaste for more formal occasions. I couldn't go back to smoking even if I wanted to which is always cool to know - I tried a cig about a year after quitting and yuck, definately not a smoker anymore.
There's been too many benifits to vaping to mention. It was a little shaky starting out and finding out what works for me but now that I have my gear it's like second nature to me and I'm glad I'm a vaper.

If they xray your batteries and wonder what they are, they'll dust them for explosive residue, ask what they are - then hand them back. They wont confiscate them even in the worst case.
I've taken my ecigs all around the world, even into countries that ecigs are banned and I still had no problems with them in my carry on. That includes CE2s/clearos in there not in a clear bag in its own tray.
They know what they are and as long as you're not fogging up the bathroom you can easily vape on the plane.

I don't get this effect unless I've vaped a lot. A lot to me anyway (4ml+ in a day). The mg rating of my liquid seems to make a difference as well as the pg/vg content. I can not take higher than 8 - 10mg/ml of nicotine or I will not sleep for days, have terrible headaches and aches and pains all over with a heartbeat that constantly beats as hard as though I've just run a mile in flippers. I can't handle pg, I will break out in a rash and I will get a very sore, dry throat and that annoying "heavy lungs" feeling that takes me much longer to get with vg. The temperature you vape at seems to affect it as well. More heat/less resistance = more throat hit / more irritation and of course more vapour = more dehydrating. Keeping myself hydrated seems to make a large difference and limiting how much I vape seems to have a helping hand in limiting how often I feel this. Everyone is different - some vape 42mg quite happily and seem to have no ill effects whereas I can not for anyone vape higher than 10mg or it's bad news for me. I don't think I could even breathe in 42mg liquids let alone handle it Throat hit much? Try lower your nic, your resistance or "heat" of the vape, all vg, all pg, possibly flavour free and even nicotine free to find out if one if any affects you this way specifically. Take in more water if possible and I tend to chew on sugar free gum to keep my saliva levels up as it is. Another possibility if you're new to vaping (I have no idea if you are or not) is that you're noticing the effects of smoking now that you're not? The first few weeks after I just flat out stopped smoking, I also went back to work after a long time of being unimployed and ow, my throat sucked. That annoying tight feeling that feels a little painful, like if you're in really cold weather and it's a little harder than usual to catch your breath. Like I said though, it's gone now for me and only returns if I've vaped way more than I should have. Cigarettes have a numbing effect on your throat so it can be a little harder to 'feel' these sort of effects until you stop. Allergic reactions are another posibility - try out some antihistamines and see how you go. Hope that gives you some idea of what to try out for yourself at least. I 'aint no doctor, just what I've read others saying and my own experience on this issue.

the reason Higgs Bosun is called "The God Particle", is actually because the guy who named it, originally called it the Goddamned particle, due to it being so hard to find. This got shortened to the god particle, as the original name was considered a bit rude! It is true, I am not making it up! I think.. I learned something and from a woman See it's not so hard to get men to learn things afterall lol j/k. I didn't know that, be something cool to say if anyone brings it up IRL.

I found pg to be way way too drying and that I'm intolerant to it - I *will* break out in a rash if I use too much of it. Higher nitotine content also irritates and dries the heck out of my throat. The temperature you vape at also has an effect so going higher resistance may help. One thing I've found that helps is to chew on sugar free gum. It produces more saliva and keeps your throat more moist as a result. If someone who drinks utterly nothing but water and has more than a litre of the stuff a day still has a dry throat from vaping then there 'aint much more you can do just drinking water It helps but as vg and pg are humectants you'll find the more you vape the drier your throat will feel. Keep it up though if you can if it's helping you to vape. I'd also look into products specifically for dry mouth as they do exist. My mum is a dental nurse and reccommended some fancy gum to use but I found regular sugar free stuff does the trick as well Good luck and hope you get better soon

It's a little ironic that the whole concept of the bible and pretty much any religion made utterly no sense to me as odd things happen like people flying around and chariots in the sky and just bizarre things you would only really see in sci-fi films only made some sense when I thought about it as literally sci-fi. It's a pretty out there theory but surprisingly it makes more sense to me than taking it literally as-is. It also makes a lot more sense if you take it non literally and more as a reference to the constellations. Jesus's symbol was the fish (which is still a christian symbol) and he was a fisherman, able to walk on water and turn water to wine. I.e, he represents pices. They talk about the age a lot in scripture, as in the age of pices. There is a lot of talk of Jesus coming again - but if you take it as less literal and more universal, this of course means that we will reach the age of pices once again which we of course will. Jesus was followed by his 12 deciples and the number 12 comes up fairly often in a similar manner in other religions as well. It doesn't seem like a coincidence to me that there are also 12 signs of the zodiac, or "ages". As with older religions that use the same setup as christianity, the main deity represents the sun. The son of god? More like the sun of god. Consider the winter solstice. On dec 22, the sun sits at its lowest point in the sky (symbolising death in the ancient world as their crops and land 'died' in this time) and stops moving south for 3 days and sits right under the crux or cross constellation. So, you can compare to the crucificion there - the son/sun of god sits on the cross for 3 days, dies and comes back to life after those 3 days. Of course, this is also Christmas or Jesus' birth or rebirth when the sun is restored again. The pagan religion really founded this idea in the UK and also used the cross symbol before it was adopted into christianity by the romans to get it going here. Not wonder why paganism was so frowned upon? It seems more a form of concealment of the roots of the new religion being brought in. I really don't like to talk about these sorts of things though, as you get labelled as some kind of nut for going against convention. It's not really like that to me, I just enjoy considering other possibilities and don't let it rule my whole life or anything. I haven't read the hitchhiker's guide for a long time now I'll have to look it out again, it was a great read and right up there with my sense of humour.

I hope it's not some sort of joke because I replied seriously as a conspiracy theory enthusiast I suppose. I can freely admit I don't believe many theories but I can sure say I'm familiar with pretty much all of them by now. It seems maybe he's taking things on face value or shocked that there was such a huge reaction to just vaping on a bus. I'd be pretty put out if I was surrounded by so many police and had that kind of treatment just for vaping.
I've been stopped by the police for vaping while walking down the street and had my name and address taken as though I'm some drug dealer. They shouldn't be allowed to that and it's only been since the terrorism act that they've been allowed to do it and it's a clear abuse of the law to do so - average joe wearing a "working with tesco" uniform in a village with a population under 2000 people 'aint a terrorist drug dealer if you catch my drift. I'm now on a database as someone who shows suspicious behaviour, against my will and I don't like that. After that, I flat out stopped vaping in public because it was horrible, horrible experience.
I'm really empathetic with what he's trying to say but I'm not so sure it's the best forum to do it on.

I've been playing battlefieldplay4free for a while now if anyone else is. I don't really like to pay for fps titles as they're a bit repetitive and I think it' still one of the best free titles there are right now. I'm still just playing guilty gear and left 4 dead 1 between times as well. If anyone else still plays ancient games like streets of rage 2 for sega or the lesser known gundam wing: endless duel for snes, then hook me up and I'll host up a kaillera server so we can blast through some retro games

The lavatube is my staple vaping device and will continue to be my staple vaping device until it passes away and upon such a time I will hold a funeral for it and grieve over its absence until I heartlessly replace it with an identical one

Can I be your husband and get a surprise provari? #icon_rofl#
They'd need something with a decent battery life like the 1100mah riva or something with a bit of substance to it like the lavatube. Everyone's different but you will need to consider battery life with a 50 a day habit.
