I do soak it well. It just seems harder to vape from & it has a weird taste to it that tickles my throat. I did read somewhere that it's a good idea to rinse it throughly first before using it, but I read that after I tried it.
Might try some of James' blue stuff.

Afternoon all. I'm having vaping issues all of a sudden. It seems I'm having to really suck in order to get a semi decent vape. I'm also now missing the throat hit too. Have tried different juices but all are pretty much the same. Got James' juices this morning (Thanks James ) but still hardly anything. Could the atties be on their last legs? Is there anything I can do to get a better vape?

If you've got the Riva, i'sd be surprised if it were the battery at fault. It sounds like atties losing their power to me. Time to swap them out i think.

I swap atties regularly if nothing seems to be working. Sometimes it IS frustrating and then next thing you know, an attie you put on side "just in case" decides to resurrect itself. I still haven't thrown any away. Maybe none have given up the ghost, because I am rotating them?
Hissie, I went through a couple of days where nothing seemed to work. I rinsed atties out, washed the filler, started from scratch about 3 times, then left overnight and all was well in the morning.
Sometimes it's because it's too wet. Sometimes it's because it's too dry. There is a fine balance which I am still learning. Sometimes it's because the attie is flooded (my usual problem). Try blowing your atties out, from the big end, brass side down over some kitchen roll and see if that helps.

P.S. Just thought of something else....sometimes if I take the filler out and put a couple of drops in the empty cart and put the wet filler back in, that cures it. (Rather than just dripping a couple of drops on top of the filler after you've been going a while.)

try wiping the bottom of the attie and the battery connection with kitchen towel as well, as sometimes excess juice in there can cause a problem...

I have only 2 atties at the moment & have been alternating them each day. Although I have never rinsed them out before, I do leave them upside down over night to drain out any gung.
I also take the filling out and drop juice in the empty cart then replace the filler and drip a few more drops. I've never done direct dripping before so the atty will only have juice from the carts.
But I guess from what people have said, the atties are probably on their way out, which is disappointing since I haven't used the Riva for that long. Looks like I better buy some more.

Hissie, as lilac says, wioe the attie/battery threads. If juice gets on these threads it will reduce the conductivity. Also try blowing your atties out. Blow from the battery connection side & hold a piece of tissue over the mouthpiece side while doing so.

It's worth noting that atties have variable lifespans, I've had some go on for 8 weeks, others just a few days. They rarely die completely, but rather fade out, so you're left with a rather useless amount of throat hit/vapour, and a knackered throat from sucking too hard which is why i've got 27 atties spare now

Hissie- I noticed that too with the Riva atties. I bought spares, but didn't throw away the Riva ones - that then 'recovered' and I am still using them. I don't understand the science behind it, but would suggest you get a couple more to ring the changes - allowing a couple to rest for a few days. The tornado/titan ones currently on offer via TEEC (?) I think are the same as the Riva ones - currently £11.50 for 5 - albeit, you may have to settle for whatever coulour they have left. I ordered a black Tornado set earlier, but they were out of extra black atties - so I bought red - as the cone part covers them anyway.

Thanks Hanow. Just wondering are the Tornado batteries the same as Riva batteries?
There's so much to buy on the TECC webstore.

The tornado/titan ones currently on offer via TEEC (?)To help you remember, Hanow, it stands for The Electronic Cigarette Company re swappability - I think that the Tornado and the Riva and the eGo are all the same model, but please wait for confirmation scylla

The Tornado & Ego are the same but the Riva isn't exactly the same model.
I think, but not certain, the batteries can all be charged with the same charger? Hope someone else can confirm this, if not I'll try & find the right info tomorrow when I'm not so tired. Really hard to remember everything about an e-cig model that I've never used myself.
