Hi Summer....Just get her either a 901 or 510 ecig, both are good and are lighter to handle than the Tornado/Riva.... You get some prefilled carts(cartridges) with a starter kit, you can either continue to buy filled carts, or buy nicotine liquid (eliquid or juice, it might be called on the various websites) buying them prefilled is more expensive, we all reuse the ones we already have by filling them ourselves If your mum takes to vaping, she can move on to a bigger device, but the starter kits i've mentioned are a good start...

Jules, I've also been wondering if a disposable trial pack would be a good way to go.

I didn't know Simon did that disposable - I've just ordered one for when my sister comes round I sent her a 901 starter kit over a year ago but she said she couldn't even think about it because she had too much stress going on - work, mainly, a horrible, horrible job, something to do with the Job Centre or its successor or relative or something. Anyway, she retired last month, and part of me is worried that if she smokes here I might reveal how I can't tolerate passive smoking - not because I'm a prudish reformed smoker but because it hurts my mucus membranes... it's a side-effect from not being totally clogged up any more. AND... that Smoke Juice link will not work[/b] for me What the heck's going on? AND... Summer!!! Just get your mother started!!!!!!!!!! On something!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! scylla ???

Hello Summer, I began with the DSE901 and haven't used any other type of ecig. My 901 arrived on the morning of 2nd. Feb. this year and I've not had a single puff of a real cigarette since....... I agree with Scylla that you just need to get your mum started.... She'll get into it and then, at some later date, start to look around for bigger/better/longer lasting etc. And if she's desperate to stop smoking, she may well stick with the 901 as she's happy with it..... Please, do tell her about me - 60 years old, smoked 20 plus a day since I was 16, so unfit and unhealthy I can't tell you.... And here I am, four months after trying the ecig and I'm walking miles, just joined the gym, etc. etc. And, if you knew me, you'd know just what a huge turn-around that is....

Thank you Chrissie, I should add that I'm still very unfit now, but at least the coughing, wheezing and breathlessness has disappeared...... And I am, now, at least using the gym and the equipment, albeit for short bursts at a time.... Am off there right now - to make the most of the man-free afternoon (assuming that the men will be watching the footie and not in the gym this afternoon).....

Lovely to read that Nana, and very well done you. I am somewhat behind you - only 27 hours now for me with my new found smoking experience (not that I am counting of course!!) but am so not at the usual stage of: 'whose head can I bite off?' mode! x

Nana - so agree with you hunnie. I am, for the first time ever, so optimistic. What I feel is that I can now focus the 'willpower' element on the 'will' to make this huge step into being - at last - a non smoker. Sooooooo much easier than anything else I have tried. And soooooooo thrilled to have found this group. I know I would not have got this far without it/you all.
