Hi everyone Haven't been around for a few days as having a demanding time at the mo, BUT sooo haven't forgotten you all.

Am feeling really quite exited as I am going to talk to a BBC Radio Reporter (regional, not national tho') next week. (insert jumping smiley!!)

I know he's always interested in new stuff so am going to (gulp) ask him if he'll pleeeez do a story on e cigs! If he's reluctant, maybe try begging? then bribery? then hysterical rantings!!! (oh er and ravings, naturally!) If that fails I'll stamp my feet, light up one of my 0.0000000000000000001% silk cut & blow smoke everywhere lol

Don't think it'll come to that (He's a good guy)

Thought I'd take my pink 901 with me & give him a demo

If he's up for it wouldn't it be fab

Just thought - I'm not at all 'puter literate - please don't dazzle me with pasting & copying - never managed it yet!!

- BUT some of you guys are 'puter whiz kids - so - could anyone produce a brief synopsis of the whole e cig thing with details of the propositions afoot to ban same?

Don't wanna go with reams of stuff but thought perhaps, a page of relevant informed comments, quotes & general info could be helpful to him if he's interested ???

Spent the last hour trying my own hand at this, but without great results, probably 'cause I'm not that clear about certain aspects myself!

It might be good to have a brief quote from somewhere?? confirming that e cig liquid ingredients are not believed to be damaging to health?

Mentioning the role of pharmaceuticals & tobacco companies might add a nice touch of controversy = newsworthiness?? AND it's so true!

I am happy to take full responsibility for any help given - not asking anyone to put their neck on the line at all

Very exciting Lolli, but I would be terrified too.

There are some really good videos that sum up the PV vs cigarettes, the MHRA proposal and a great 'personal story'. I've put some links below. Of course, there are loads, but these are my three favourites - they might be a good intro for him.







There is also a thread on UKVapers which contains a proposed press release, as well as information about which regulations already apply to the supply and packaging of the juice. It might give you some pointers on the wording for your summary of the current situation.
