So at 1pm today I became a non smoker.

I ordered the EVOD starter kit from MyePack and it came today with three 10mil samples I ordered. I have to say I really like it so far and haven't even thought about having a normal cig.
Of course It's only 8 hours in I am not claiming the world non smoking record based on that but it's a start!

I have a few questions though. Firstly, in both cartomisers I can hear a sort of strange crackling sound when I draw in on them. Is this normal?
I hope I put the liquid in properly. I tried to avoid the hole in the central tube but it was fiddly as the bottle had a very fine tip on top and I had to put it in by drops intead of pouring.

The other thing, yep stupid question time, when I got the kit I clicked five times to activate the battery. When I'm not using the EVOD I have been clicking five times again to turn it off then doing the five click thing when I need it again assuming this saves battery power.
Am I wasting my time doing this? Do you keep it on till it runs out then charge again?

The other other thing... is I tried two liquids. USA Mix and Ry4 from Myepack. The USA Mix is 18mg and I love the taste. The Ry4 is 24mg and I like that too but it has a very heavy throat hit. I think they are both 70pg/30vg. Is the high nicotine content giving the big throat hit?

I am loving this kit so far and have five more sample bottles coming tomorrow from Joose Juice which I can't wait to try. What gets me most so far is the taste of the flavours are so strong, much nicer than I remember the taste of cigarettes. In fact with normal cigarettes the
more of them you smoke through a day the less you taste them and you are just smoking them for the nicotine hit and out of habit.

Good for you. I can't remember ever "tasting" tobacco after the first few years of smoking. I just smoked and got on with it.

I got a new juice today from myepack and my 4 from Joose arrived too. Lots of sampling to be done.

Your evod clearomisers will crackle...that's good.

Yes the cracking is the coil heating the liquid, completely normal.

I hope I put the liquid in properly. I tried to avoid the hole in the central tube but it was fiddly as the bottle had a very fine tip on top and I had to put it in by drops intead of pouring.
Just try to get it down the edge and not in the airtube, then blow it through gently over a tissue to clear any juice/condensation out.

Turning it off just stops accidental activation in a pocket or bag, it won't affect battery life.

Yes high nic gives more throat hit, higher PG ratio and voltage can also affect throat hit.

Crackling is normal mate, don't worry about it.

If you are happy with any of the juices then I would say get some ordered up as 10ml does not last long. If I have learnt anything from vaping then it is to always have enough steeped juice in the cupboard.

You've had all your questions answered perfectly already, but I will tell you to let your joosejuice liquid steep for atleast a week, preferably more.

I took delivery of mine on the 7th and gave the bubble gum one a toot yesterday and it's not quite there yet I don't think so didn't try the others and will leave them for another week (ARGH!)

Thanks guys! Chrissie I've read about steeping in the guide but I still don't know how it improves the liquid. Is it just a stronger (or better) flavour?

I am smoking in the front room as I type. There is smoke going all over my computer screen and everything, and the OH has not murdered me which is a top result she says she can't even smell it.
I have to find somewhere really cool to smoke next. Maybe in a church?
