seniorphil and @tazmania441 my guess is that your friends suck much harder than you do, and are pulling more juice in than the coil can burn. You could suggest that they fire the protank for 5 seconds or so before drawing on it, then they can get the vapour without sucking so hard. Or use a mix with higher PG content? therefore thinner?

She does that since she started vaping, that was my initial answer.

She uses 50/50, or she did. She says she has stamped on two of them so I will let her sort her own juice and coils out.

Maybe. The PG would give more throat hit, maybe reduce the need to suck. Could also try long slow draw to the mouth, then sharp into the lungs, if they/you haven't tried that already.

In my case it was a brand new pro tank 2 in it's box, used the coil that came with it and everything, all seals are there. First was a little dribble when it was on it's side so I thought maybe you're not meant to leave them on their side, next I got a gob full of juice which is pretty disgusting then I left the mvp sitting upright and it started vaping all by itself and that's when I discovered it had filled the mvp with juice. No idea why yet, tightened it all up in a manly fashion too. It's likely to be the 'tightening it up in a manly fashion' that caused your problems Enjay It's a fine balance with the Protanks...too loose and they leak, too tight and you squash the small grommets causing either a leak or restricted draw. The vaping by itself is also caused by over tightening. Not sure on the tightening but the vaping itself was because the ejuice leaked all through the mvp and shorted it out, it's knackered, it was full of juice.

Until the boredom sets in I will just carry on in my quest of ideal Attie's, I'm tempted to suggest you try a true atomiser Fockskey, just for the heck of it, rather than a clearomizer of some sorts . . . dripping whilst out of fashion for anything other than testing new flavours, still gives a great vape.

I have various true atomisers Perpetua, Kayfuns, an Odisseus clone, Scuba tank and Diver V2 and I love them all. Genesis styles: AGA T2, TD and RSST with a chamber reducer. One of the best Genesis stlye I have is the AGA T3, that I have set up using rope covered with Ekowool, sublime... I also use a couple of drippers from time to time. I was just having problems with the Protanks that I use for out and about and work, so much so that I have stopped using them at present.

Ah right, you don't need more of the same then Fockskey . . . how about something from the Aspire range? allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/thread/33561/safercigs-aspire-range?page=1&scrollTo=592171

Does the Aspire range not suffer from the same problem as the Protank? I kmow that the Davide uses the same principle. I do like the look of the Nautilus, but I dont want another big tank.

Just to throw my 2ps worth into the mix, I test all new stock when it arrives & have never had any problems with any of the clearos bearing in mind I will use them till the original coil dies, having said that the biggest gripe I get from new customers are leaking & gurgling issues. At least a good 50%+ I can put down to user error, selective deafness re instructions & filling issues, the 2 seem to go hand in hand The others I think giles has got there before me, it really can be as simple as how you vape. Even though it's only been 16mths since I started vaping so much has changed re the kit, & availability. When I started vaping pretty much the only things readily available where various cigalikes, egos, clearo's all on a CE4 variation or cartos. There were a few genesis atties around & other high end stuff but it was expensive - we're talking about a world BFT (before fasttech) & before the major clone invasion. We'er also talking about when if you wanted to buy vaping gear it was mainly from the recognised vendors, there was nothing on ebay & because there was no FT there were no peeps buying kits or blister packs & selling them from wherever with bugger all knowledge or instruction. The fastest way then to find the vendors was through the forums, & the forums then were mainly about the vape & how to vape, not about how rebuild the latest atty. So many folks now are buying vaping kit & expecting to be able to vape like they would smoke a ciggie, take a cig out of the packet light it & smoke it. I suspect even the ones who used to smoke rollies have forgotten the learning curve about how frustrating it could be to make a decent ciggie, & want their vape to as instantaneously perfect as smoking. Trying to vape like you're still smoking is never going work even with good kit. To some extent my OH has only just worked this out, even thought we both shared the same kit when we started his would leak & gurgle, then when we moved onto RBA's which just happened to be AGA-ts then Cobra's, the leaking & gurgling stopped (but I think you'd have to be some king of special genius to get a genesis style atty to do either) but boy did his coils gunk up faster then mine & the amount of condensation in the top cap was frightening. Fairly recently he's started using one of my diver's & low & behold it leaks & gurgles - for him (I should also say that I do all the maintenance & rebuilding, so when one coil needs changing it just gets swapped out for a new one, 2 divers, 2 killers & at least 3 new coils ready for each one) when I took the diver off him & used it (always had to dry out the center pin first) no problem. I ended up getting so fed up with the whinging he got options - 1 go back to the mesh gennys, 2 change the way you vape or 3 go back to the ciggies, but since that would have involved finding somewhere else to live . . . Since going back to gennys means losing out on his new fav flavour cos it doesn't work nearly as well with mesh he didn't want to do that, so he's made a conscious effort to change the way he vape's, longer, slower gentler draws, not as gentle as it could be mind cos I can still bloody hear it, but low & behold no more leaking or gurgling - seriously there are only so many ways you can rebuild something before you have to start looking at how the person using it, is using it - "a bad workman always blames his tools" springs to mind. & if after this ramble you still don't believe me try & vape your kit like you were smoking a ciggie & see how long it takes to make even the best kit unusable or unsatisfactory.
