Hi crazyquilter and a very warm from me too As the others have said, don't worry about asking anything, we were all newbies once and you'll be amazed at how quickly you pick up vaping knowledge here I'd +1 the mini protank kit, bought one for my friend for Christmas and she loves it. The mini protank is my tank of choice for daytime

I will do that KARMA, thankyou for tell me that. I didn't know there was a vaping stall in the market. After all the information I have had today from all you lovely people I am thinking, to hell with poverty, throw another pea in the soup and get a different kit. Where to start is another matter and I had better not ask about that today as you will all be sick of me by now. We don't get sick of questions, so ask away. You'll have to come along to the next Carlisle Vape Meet allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/thread/22869/carlisle-mini-meet-30th-november?page=12

crazyquilter - I don't think you need a whole new kit just yet, you have two perfectly serviceable batteries and juice you like. You could do with some clearomizers that are maintainable, so you can buy new coils rather than replacing the whole unit every time they taste bad. My personal recommendation would be the iclear16 as the coils last ages: Clearos: myepack.co.uk/iclear-16.htmlSpare coils: myepack.co.uk/iclear-16-dual-coil-head.htmlAnother good option would be the mini protank or evod - both the units and spare coils for these are also available on myepack at a very good price.

I found something scary at your vendor (an £8 kit for £30) but that's not what you bought is it? (is it.. ???) NO.

crazyquilter I speak from a hardcore nicotine addicts perspective when I say don't reduce your nic till 6-8 weeks of vaping and then by no more than 3mg/ml. Really it's going to end in tears. Twice last year I got my nic right now and it didn't last. Now am taking it very slowly... And before you buy any more kit get to a carlisle vape meet I'm on 10mg/ml right now...11mg/ml is not high. No need to get all 'nicotine is evil' as it's not. It's about as harmful as caffeine. It's not the nic in the cigs that is doing you damage but the 101 other nasties. Really get used to your new kit. Get some replacement heads for your CE4's (your kit is gorgeous by the way ), get to a vapemeet and enjoy For the record I started on 36mg/ml and nasal spray (more addictive than anything) and stuck there for 8 weeks and it worked fine for me. if you need any help. I would go to the indoor market. ian has 5 years of vaping experiance. and is a lot cheaper than vapertoriam and better qaulity stuff and will replace it if it dose not work. vapertoriam will not replace anything

I'm just back on here again and found more posts for me. I am overwhelmed by your willingness to help. I am very very grateful, especially in light of what is happening now. I'm either doing something wrong, or the stuff I have is no good. My best way of telling you is that I have to puff on the ??? (don't know what to call it), maybe magic stick, when it is vertical so that the wick is covered with the juice. If I try to puff when it is horizontal, like a normal roly, there is less flavour and less vapour, in fact hardly any. For some weird reason I like to see a lot of vapour. Call me daft if you like!!!! Chykensa, thankyou for the info re the mini pro tank kit. I will google it to see what you mean. Actually I am wondering if I should bite the bullet and buy something which will last me a long time. Thought that was what I was doing when I got this stuff yesterday. What a bummer!!! The battery I was using today is almost caput, and the other one in the wall charger since this morning is still not green. I have taken it out the wall and am using it regardless. Seems not too bad, but nothing I have is a good as the sample I had in the shop. Don't know what kind of kit it was, black, anyway and it was to die for. And there I was thinking I would be in vaping heaven. It's all a bit too much faffing with this today, but there's no way I will go back to rollys. It's night time now, so I can probably be forgiven for thinking this is too much like hard work to do every day. No doubt tomorrow and with the advice from you lovely people I'll be in a better frame of mind.

Oh a vape meet. What's that please. Would be nice to meet some folks with experience and knowledge. DJS, I paid £12 each for two batteries, 4 clearomisers at £5 each, 3 bottles of juice at £5 each and a wall charger at £4. I think at the total of £63 I could have done better elsewhere, but hindsight is a wonderful thing. I could kick myself for not finding this site before I took the plunge.

Hmm, that does seem quite expensive crazyquilter but as you say, hindsight is a wonderful thing. Please let us guide you if you intend to make any more purchases. ionian suggested iClear16s and I +1 that, they are a super clearo, a more modern version of what you are using with the advantage that they have twin coils so produce more vapour and flavour, whilst lasting twice as long because the coils share the load. Mini Protanks are great items - someone above said that you don't need another kit, and they are right of course. A Mini Protank will cost less than a tenner, and is totally maintainable, with new heads costing £3 maximum a pop, and if you are so inclined you can recoil them yourself for a few pence each time. Top up your clearo once the juice is about 2/3 gone, as this will really soak those wicks and give a better vape. A Vapemeet is just what it sounds like. Loads of like-minded persons meet at a pub usually and share their knowledge. You'll get the chance to try loads of different juices, see all sorts of different mods and batteries, and expand your knowledge exponentially - they are also great fun!! Where else can you vape away not having to mind who's watching, and create as much vapour as you want!?

Hi crazy quilter the trouble you are having with holding the ecig for vaping is the clearo you are using the mini protank is bottom coil so doesn't have to be held that way or sloshed around. You can just buy one myepack.co.uk/checkout/cart/add/uenc/aHR0cDovL215ZXBhY2suY28udWsvY2xlYXJvbWl6ZXJzLmh0bWw,/product/754/ a very good vendor well known on here and maybe a spare coil myepack.co.uk/accessories/protank-coil.html with these you can wash out the clearo and coil leave the coil to dry and use the other one while it does. With your battery it's the light on the battery that changes colour not the wall charger that stays red to show power is on. If the battery light doesn't go off contact the vendor as it may be faulty. Hope this helps oh and these are compatable with your batteries and charger

Hell crazyquilter and congrats!
I'm almost at 4 months without ciggies now, but it took me a good few weeks to adjust to all the fiddling about with battery cleaning, tipping and twirling, blowing out excess juice etc etc. As far as your battery staying red and not turning green when it's charging, I had that happen several times and discovered that if I unscrewed it a little, it would eventually turn green. It doesn't need to be screwed on really tight. I just put it on finger tight or when the battery starts flashing to let me know it's connected.

Can you not return the equipment to where you bought it crazyquilter and then start again, with the benefit of hindsight and some advice?

Can I butt in here and thank everyone for this thread?
crazyquilter I am only a few steps ahead of you with the vaping and its a bit of a learning curve for me too. I have found this thread so interesting and everyone so supportive of your " journey". You will get there, already I am down to three cigs a day from over twenty since Xmas. Without this forum and the lovely people on here I would be floundering.
Thank you everyone
