The fact that it was linked to a condition where there is oil deposits in his lungs is what gets me. I guess he could have vapid something bad, all that time ago there will have been much less info on what we definitely should not be vaping, but to publish that and not balance it with some kind of research as to what is in most, if not all juice is ver very wrong. Now people will think its oil and unsafe for the user and bystanders.

Why do they insist on saying there's been no reasearch!!!! Drives me nuts, they could actually do their homework and find what research has been done! I'd also like to know what oils people seem to think they are using! FGS! The amount of time I spend tellling people not to buy anything that's oil based, I've even spoken to someone who owns a vape stall who insists on calling the liquid vaping oil!

In the main the programme was quite well done, I recognised Cliff too

I can see a massive influx of people searching for information too, especially as they've shown that there's not only elites and similar on the market.

Very hit and miss.

They must have searched high and low to find the report for the poor man who smoked for thirty years and then died of cancer.

Trying to see the good is really tough when they inevitably sensationalized the appealing to children, the stupid advert and the nobody really knows story.

And what about that vendor claiming all those health benefits! Bet he is going to have a few angry customers.

Can't say I'm surprised with it.

Can only hope it is the start of mainstream coverage.

Hmmm. I like to keep a balanced mind on this issue, try to see things from all points of view, and I know the programme wasn't likely to present ecigs in a positive fashion, but that was terrible tv.

I feel awful for the woman who lost her husband, but including that segment with no evidence whatsoever was just scaremongering, and bush league journalism.

I should state that I share concerns about ecig advertising, and would welcome sensible regulation, especially including bans on sales to minors, but I can't see what purpose the programme served. It wasn't particularly informative, asked a load of questions without attempting to find answers for its viewers, and painted a bleak picture overall. I'm pretty frustrated.

Several countries have banned e cigarettes, yes and most of them have a vested interest in tobacco production. The program ended on a more positive note though, a positive way out of smoking. That will be our biggest weapon.

Yep, I was annoyed about the 'oil' reference too

I suppose on the whole it was balanced, but I'm not impressed. Of all the vendors he could have interviewed, he interviewed one that has been in the business 6 months ???

He found one death that just might be to do with inhaling oils ??? No mention that there are no oils or at least should not be and no mention of what is in e-liquid

The only bit that I found totally unbiased was the guy from Cancer Research at the end that said e-cigs had to be at least 100 times safer than smoking tobacco
