Lol I know some move over to mechs sooner but I have been holding off, every time I go to purchase one, I think of another question I need to ask which makes me feel like a complete newb, then I empty the basket...until I go arose to the 'what you had in your hand' thread. I also tend to post to death about something before I do it

For the reasons above but eventually moved onto a provari and now use them 90% of the time. Size is key for me and the Provari mini in 18500 mode is about 2 mm longer than a nemesis in 18500 mode with a kick. Yes they are expensive but by the time you tot up the cost of several mechs and kicks your well on your way. And I found once I got mine everything else is relegated to the backup shelf. Yes, very important

This illustrates my point, could of probably bought a big P for the cost of what you've trashed and it would still be going strong. Not a criticism barrynorton as I've bought all those vw's and mechs too. But in hindsight and if I was starting over I be straight into 2 provaris and a couple of nemmi clones as back ups. I also lost a 134 though...

Sub-ohm (only just) atty wouldn't fire otherwise. Being able to twiddle around with navy nests, chimneys, and other weird coils is all part of the fun, and they can come in at under a gnome. Anything under 0.75R out, don't want to have the battery explode in my hand thanks!

Why did I get a mech? All of three years ago? Cos it had better battery life than the cigalikes/TW profferings at the time. My second mech mod was a screwdriver clone I got from Retford. The only e-cig I had backpacking round scotland that summer. Survived... Have you not considered a magneto Mrsmac.... Good prices - www.safercigs.co.uk/Magneto_Mod/p705283_11777589.aspxDon't forget the discount code

Is going from a vv/vw mod to a more than likely cloned mech even an upgrade?
As for the batteries, you have to go pretty niche to find anything other than the MVP with a fixed battery, so most of us will have to buy batteries from time to time anyway.
I admit there is less to go wrong with a mech, but when you can get a Vamo V5 for less than £20 that becomes less of an issue. If my Vamo and I have a happy six months to a year together, I'll have had my £20s worth.
Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against mechs and will probably get one eventually, just because, but at the £20 mark nothing has apppealed to me as much as the SS Vamo.
But wouldn't life get boring if we all used the same mods? We might as well all stick to the same liquid too!
Sent from my HTC One_M8 using proboards

I do like the look of the magneto, only thing is it kinda looks like my zmax when telescoped lol Loving the different reasons. You wouldn't believe the times I have dropped the zmax and we have hard floors, the zmax survived...several drip tips didn't make it...I keep thinking...one day I hope i don't drop it so much that it dies a permanent death! Being on maternity leave, the zmax was definitely a treat and a luxury

1) 3 of the first 4 VV/VW mods I had didn't last long at all, so reliability & longevity 2) Small size 3) Cheap as cloned chips

BrenD, I guess some will see the flexibility of it an upgrade and the chance to make your vape the way you want it especially if you are into rebuildable atty's and experimenting with different coils. I think there are maybe three kind of capers (in my simple mind!) A straight forward vaper who will find a kit that works and sticks to it, A mid ground vaper who probably has a kit that works but regularly looks to change/upgrade components to get the best vape A hobbyist vaper who has fun experimenting with all things vape to get the best out of their vape in all ways Maybe I'm wrong in generalising but I fall in the middle lol

Reliability was my reason. I wanted something future proof. I love my Nemesis with Kick. It's not truly mechanical with the Kick but if the Kick breaks the Nemesis is still usable. Besides this, I also love the size and looks of the Nemesis.

Unless you are keen on the looks of a mechanical mod, there is no real advantage of a kicked mechanical mod over a regulated mod. There are cheap versions of both available and they both contain electronic chips. Note that I am talking about proper regulated mods (those with a replaceable battery like the Vamo or SVD) and not a regulated battery pack like the MVP or Spinner.
