What made you upgrade to a mech mod?

Is Ronaldo able to fix a stripped 510 on a VTR? I'd pay for that.

The MVP was always destined to be a battery pack once the 510 gave out.

The ZMax is just a mess, probably not worth salvaging.

if you can find a 510 connector I will fit it for you free of charge but I wouldn't know where to find one as I am into the electronic side of it mainly as that is what my job is electronics engineer repair and maintenance and yes I have seen 1 Provari that needed 510 connector changing but it was because it was dropped off scaffolding and cracked the connector when it hit the ground not because of stripped threads if you find 1 pm me for my address

No, that's the problem, the VTR has this stupid spinning part that I don't think you can get spares for.

Thanks for confirming it's not impossible to break the Provari's connector too - if I can be done, I'd do it (probably about two weeks in)

I was worried about taking the vamo outside but I'm more confident with a steel tanked aerotank on a mech.

Wouldn't say I've upgraded , do like the look of my nemesis but using it kicked , wary of it since I sat in down without locking it ! Boiling hot juice spotting all over the work top alerted me , tubes and battery boiling to touch ! Relegated to the cupboard for a while ! OH not impressed at all as he is not a vaper but a dirty smoker ! Guess that's what happens if not used exclusively ! Think I must have thought it was my vamo ! Could have been disastrous if I'd gone out , but I do like it is it possible to use it without a kick with non protected battery's ? Using 1.5 coils ?
It does deserve another chance as it's sooo good looking ! Feel it's a cheat using a kick in a way ? Also how long before the performance would drop ( 18650 battery )

what is the question there is to much txt to read,

you can use a mech without a kick yes but i would advise using either imr batterys or high amp batterys, why do you want to use unprotected ones for?

i cant really say how long till you notice the drop of in performance it depends how much and often you vape, its not cheating using a kick at all

I started using mechs with a kick, but now don't bother with it. My coils are 1.2-1.4 ohms which gives me a lovely hit when I change the battery, and are perfectly nice all the way through until I have to change it. I stopped using it around the time I got a 14500 mod (so you can't kick it, it's too small) and realised I didn't need it. 

Exactly. Regulated mods and mech mods are like chalk and cheese,. The Provari is like an auto Porsche (albeit ugly as sin) and a mech mod like a Austin Healey 3000. it's like the difference between swimming with a cossie  and skinny dipping. Ditch the kick and go naked and stop making excuses for buying a Provari after all it works just the same as a spinner

Yeh sorry for the waffle ! I only have unprotected ones at the moment so just wanted to try it without the kick to compare ! I have Panasonic NCR 18650B Mh12210 think 3200 mah
And efest 18650 2000mah
These ok ? If not il order some protected

the efest are imr batterys you can use them in a mech, you could use the panasonics in a mech mod but i would strongly advise against it
