Welcome to you @nursemorph. Not much else to add in the way of advice . . . . other than to say don't dismiss or discard a flavour because at the time you tried it, it wasn't for you. Tastes can change the longer you don't smoke - I use and enjoy flavours now that I wouldn't have dreamed of as a smoker. Additionally, a number of flavours can improve the more time they're given to blend/infuse/steep to lose the just mixed rawness. Don't be tempted into buying vast quantities of anything until your taste buds have time to re-adjust from the effects of smoking.

Thanks to those who have posted since I last posted. Good advice there Still thinking about the Wispavapours clearance lot as each bottle is only 60p (inc P+P) and there's a good choice of tastes within it...however, given it's closing down, it may not be a good idea as then I'd have to find another supplier and try to find new flavours etc. I noticed the LiQuid site adjusts their VG/PG ratio according to the nicotine strength which would make it easier than trying to work it out so that's good. I'll have to have a good look round the next couple of days before deciding..all the advice given so far has given me a lot to think about

If you do buy & like the Wipavapour juices, you shouldn't have much trouble finding the same Hangsen juices elsewhere.

@nursemorph - hi and a warm welcome from me too! You've already received some great advice, so I won't contradict, only to say that the Mini Nautilus and an iStick would be a great first setup. Apparently the iStick 40w doesn't hold its charge as well as the i30, so your decision might unwittingly be a good one! 18mg juice would be a good start; if you do subsequently move on to DTL (Direct To Lung) vaping, then a Subtank Mini would work well, but you will need to lower your nicotine levels otherwise you'll very quickly over-indulge! Incidentally, my Subtank Mini works really well at 25w with the .5ohm head, so you will have enough power in the iStick for that should you wish. Juice - well, JooseJuice which has already been suggested have a good range of great juices, and if I didn't mix my own, I would probably still buy from Jim there. Finding two or three nice tastes is part of the challenge, and as again has already been said, don't throw away any juice you don't like as you may eturn to it and find that the taste has improved. As an (almost) ex-smoker, your tastebuds and palate will take a few weeks to readjust; during this time your taste will return, and change too. Be prepared for this, and also make sure you take frequent sips of water or fruit juice to keep you hydrated, as the ingredients in e-juice do dry your mouth and throat out. Most important of all, please don't be afraid to ask questions; we may have answered them many times before, but finding the answers in a forum so big can be tricky, and we will be delighted to answer them again for you. The only stupid question is the one you don't ask

Welcome to what is the best forum going, for information, help..... and some good fun too !!........... Again, you've already been given loads of advice, and there is so much to take in. One thing I would say, stick at it, and try as much as possible, until you find what works for you. remember, taste is subjective.... so try as many flavours as possible too. Also, you're taste will change over time......... but most of all, enjoy it

Hi @nursemorph, and to the forum. You seem to have been given all the advice you need to begin your journey. Just a word of caution, in case you see a deal *too good to be true* on ebay or the like, they are nearly always scams. And if you don't know a vendor, ask on here and we will point you to a better one. Good luck

Thanks you again everyone for the excellent advice you have given me. Unless I change my mind before ordering, I am going to get the iStick 30 and Mini Nautilus from Gearbest (seems to be the best price when considering P+P as well)...Juice-wise, I'm going with Liquid (makes sense to spend as little as possible to begin with, can always shop elsewhere for higher priced ones later if needed)...wasn't totally sure what to go for flavour-wise but decided to go with flavours that I normally like and see so am going to order a couple each of the British and Virginia Tobacco, Banana, Cherry and Peppermint. Everything all told will be about £50 which is a price I am happy with to begin with. Will order later and then the patient wait for delivery begins

Great stuff, @nursemorph, glad you have made a good decision there, and I quite agree about not spending too much on juice to begin with. If you have a few quid to spare, it might be worth treating yourself to something a bit more 'premium', just to be able to gauge the difference in quality (although i should add that sometimes 'premium' juices are not worthy of their inflated prices - ask here for recommendations!). If you are ordering from the EU/UK Gearbest warehouse, you should get delivery in a couple of days; I ordered a Subtank Mini from them on Wednesday late evening, and it arrived yesterday (Saturday) - not too shabby

Unfortunately, neither of the items gave an eu warehouse option....I don't mind though as I am a patient person. Regarding the juices, I've just stuck with the cheaper ones for now....once I have tried everything and know that I can get on with it all, then I might start looking into more premium ones etc but, for now, I want to keep the costs down as much as possible as money is tight at the moment...of course, if everything goes to plan, then I will have plenty of spare money around so will be able to buy what I want (well, within reason...as long as I am saving enough for my Playstation 4 that will be my reward for giving up smoking)

Welcome David to the best forum on the net. As with any new vaper don't rush in to fast with sub ohms and TC as it may well blow your head off and turn you off vaping. An istick and a nautilus are a fantastic start and even a 4 year vaper like myself still use a nautilus daily. The biggest headache I've found is finding the right juice for yourself as its a pain buying juice because it sounds yummy only to put it in a tank and think YUK!!!! And don't ever be scared to ask on here as there is a wealth of knowledge on the forum and someone will always help you out. Welcome and enjoy AAEC Mark

welcome to AAEC @nursemorph, you'll not go far wrong with an istick 30 and a nautilus as your starter kit

Welcome to the forum @nursemorph. Some great advice and it looks like you have gone for a good starting set -up. While high wattage mods and sub-tanks are currently very popular I agree with others when they are not always the best when you are making the move from fags.
As for juices don't worry too much if you don't like the odd flavours. I think you are wise going for the vendors suggested. They will have juices you dislike but you will find some you like, and they won't cost you an arm and a leg.. I spent quite a lot on some premium juices when I started - a couple were great, most were average and a couple I gagged on. I was surprised that I ended up liking menthol cherry menthols and mints - but hated, hated hated tobacco versions. Each to their own.
